“There are trails upon which the use of wheels is strictly forbidden, so no, they wouldn't be allowed on all trails. But I'm guessing that most trails would be okay.

One would have to employ common sense (Horrors!) to determine which trails might be unsuitable for this contraption, though.”

“In the areas that do not allow them, is there proper signage saying so?

Would a disabled person still be able to get on these types of trails?”

“I'm going to avoid the "backcountry access for the disabled" argument at this time...”

Back on topic, I have placed some of those cool little *mini kegs* in areas that were accessible by road, close to my camping spots. They strap right on the bottom of the pack once there empty.

I'm tying around with the idea of just hiking it in sometime. My pack weight is so low, that I could afford the 5 liters in weight and still be under 40 lbs.
The only bad thing is that you have to drink the whole thing in sitting. I don't tink those little things could make it on teh trail a second day.”

“My cousin that lives in Knoxville, TN, swears that when he was in college, several of his buddies would get together and pull a two wheeled cart into the Smokies and camp. I've never seen this done but was wondering if the rangers would mind.
