hardly... it's based on a true story. about a couple who goes on vacation and goes on a commercial boat with a group to go scuba diving. they accidentally get left behind in the middle of the ocean. it's the story of them being stranded out there.

I had heard it was really good. If Scrotchy don't like it though I'll have to skip it. I trust her completely. :)

they could have done a lot more with the movie. it was apparently low budget and the ending was real disappointing. even though it was based on a true story, they could have followed up at the end.

Heard alot of the scenes were filmed with a handheld film camera...to give it the "in the scene" feel. Lot's of shaky shots.

I won't see this film...I've seen those "shaky effects" in "The Bourne Supremacy".....and I nearly puked.

yea the shakey effects were pretty stupid... it wasn't anything like the blair witch, where your mind was literally shaken up, but still, it was annoying.

Blair Witch-itis
I haven't seen it yet, but from what I've been hearing, it sounds like it's an original low-budget film that that's falling victim to massive overhype and a subsequent wave of backlash. I'll reserve that judgement in part until I actually see it though.

I heard it got rave reviews from Siskel & Roeper, but I didnt hear about that until after I saw the movie. It just happened to be starting just as I was passing this movie theater, so I went into see it. Now, I did tell my husband it sounded like it would stink, but would he listen?

My review: It stunk! Husband had same review.

I don't want to give the movie away, but most of the movie was them being left in the water. There were no beautiful scenery scenes of wherever it was filmed. There were no great coral or fish filming.

Just think about two people bobbing around in the water for almost 1 hour, and they were not great conversationlists, LMAO!!!!!

Yea, next they'll make a movie about a guy stuck on the can who can't reach the roll.
--or some old fart stuck in the recliner who's wife won't bring him a beer.

There's endless possibilities to expanding on the base theme of these movies.

A man, stuck on a dialup Internet connection, attempting to download a 10MB file, the contents of which contain instructions on how to save his wife's life.

MOvies today
Movies today are jsut getting worse and worse so now they are recycling old movies, copying other movies but changing them enough so they dont get sued, making sh1tty sequesl to even sh1ttier prequels, ohh and since they have run outa ideas now they are just making really bad movies!!

They should make a movie similar to that very fat woman stuck to her sofa for six years....the one who ate, slept, cr@pped while in her sofa. Apparently her skin grew into the fabric.

Maybe we won't get "shaky effects".
