Help! Digital camera question.

“I got my photos put on a CD and printed one. It's printed black and gray. In trying to figure out what might be the problem, I put the photo in Photoshop and it has a fine grid over it--like I took it through a screen! I looked at a photo still on the memory card in Photoshop and it has the same grid. When I look at the photos on the LCD or computer screen, they look normal. This is the first time I have tried to process photos off this camera.”

“Better news. I e-mailed one photo to my daughter and it opened up in fine in Photoshop and printed fine. When I got the camera, it said I needed Windows 98 2nd edition or better, which she has. I can't understand why the operating system would matter, but at least I still have potential photos. I just can't play around with them at home.”
