“everyone that is interested in this trip will be able to handle it. It's tough, no doubt, but everyone can hike their own hike. The first two days will be the hardest and the first day harder than the second. I thinbk we will have great weather, because of the weather we had last time. The karma cycle is in our favor. It will be fun. It will be grand.”

“no way, I can't wait. I love hiking in the fall! I want it to be cold. The fact that it is cold there now is awesome, means by the time we get to October it will be even colder. Looks like it is colder on Mitchell today than it is on Mt. Washington. Mt. Washington has it beat with wind speed though.”

“lol, we went out onto the tower platform. I think we were up there a whole 2 minutes because it so cold and windy. lol. It wasn't nearly as bad once we got down to the visitor center. It was cold on Craig too.”

“hey Blalock, haven't gotten the maps yet. They are probably here but my landlord hasn't brought me my mail in a while. I'll check for them tonight. I just got my Mt. Mitchell/Big Ivy map today!!! Had it mailed to my office. It's awesome.

I'm going to be moving to PA at the end of this month, so that will change my traveling plan. I will now be heading down after work Thursday night and sleeping somewhere near the trailhead and will head back up after the hike on Sunday. Pennsy, if you want to carpool let me know.”
