Is it only in MI?
I'm seeing a faint tint of autumn colors in the trees here in southeast MI. Seems a touch early.

there's just a touch on the tree tops here in central PA. It seems way too early for this!

With all of the cool weather and nice amounts of rain, we stand to have a very nice color season, IMHO.

I can't wait for Fall!

It has been unusually mild here in North AL for August. We even had a few chilly days last week. The kids won't go near the swimming pool because it's not warm enough outside. August is usually hotter than he11 in AL this time of year. I live on 8 acres and I've noticed certain kinds of trees turning color...primarily the softwoods.

Ditto here in southern Maine. Hints of color are appearing on the leaves. Supposed to get down in the 40's again tonight. It won't be long until the trees look as if mustard and ketchup from God's hamburger fell on them. I can't wait.

I'm hoping for a good fall this year. I want to spend a lot of time in Shenandoah and when the Black Mtn Trip comes up Fall better be in full effect. I've seen some leaves starting to change around here in DC too. Especially the Sumack Trees.

Barely a light change in the trees up near the Beartooths this past weekend. Some are just now getting a light yellow tint to them. Was very green still.

Some of the trees in my area started to change back in July. Nothing big though, just a leaf here and there. My camera is ready for some colors.

Same down here. I've seen some maple trees down right turning red. I'm ready for fall anyhow and I hope this will mean a nice cold hard winter.

Hey Roam Around, you could always induce blight on the pine trees and live oak to get some color.

true, i could sneak around at night with a sprayer and paint them.

Some of the lifers down here might fall for it.

A scattering of trees showing splashes of color here in northcentral Wisconsin. My dean and I were just commenting on it as we walked back from the cafeteria and passed a half dozen maples with branches showing red and gold.

The maple's in my yard (NW wisconsin) are completely red. I wonder what color Treebeard's Maple turns in the fall? Could be a thread?

That site is misleading. Many of those are spring photos.

Well if anyone wants to see the leaves in the Adirondacks, look down at your feet. About 90% of the leaves have fallen. I guess if you want to see the foliage, you're going to have to wait until next year.

The link to the slide show (of nine Fall Pictures) is almost at the bottom of page to which I was linked. I reviewed them twice and they all look like fall pictures to me. However, at the top left of the page is a link, "PHOTOS & MULTIMEDIA." It may lead to some Spring Pictures.

Date: June 19, 2006
That was a good observation on the dates. I would assume that they are the dates that the film was processed or when the pictures were entered in the Album. I'll check it out with the Park Rangers at their Headquaters.
