THE INTERVIEW -- A Trip Report

I arrive in a quiet, small town early. I wanted to check out the area and look into housing etc. before the interview. I stopped at the Chamber of Commerce, a realtor's and miscellaneous area businesses.

I ran into a local person who worked at the place I was about to interview for. When I mentioned where I was headed, the individual said, "I worked there two years. Do you want to see the scars?" Apparently, these people are difficult to work for.

Went to the interview and it went well. She'll call my references today and hopes to e-mail an offer on Tuesday.

Just spoke with another person who is from that town. This person agreed that they are difficult people and I should really think about it.

Could they really be THAT bad? I do need to feed my kids. Day care and housing are the big stressers for me. I'd hate to move just to quit or be fired. There are fewer jobs in that little town than in this little town. It would look good on a resume. I've got a lot to think about this weekend. Decisions, decisions...
