In September I'll be in Yellowstone. Coming in from the north entrance. Plan to stop at Mammoth Hot Springs, then Norris Geyser Basin, swing east to the canyon & falls, then to the lake and out the east entrance. It's been a while since I saw Mammoth. Can't recall if I ever stopped at Norris before. Any suggestions for Norris? Don't have a lot of time as it's just a one day sightseeing stop on a drive back east to see family.

You'll love Yellowstone in September; the weather should still be nice and the crowds will be gone!
Norris should be fun-lots of geysers and mud pots.

You might want to check the status of Dunraven Pass if you're planning on driving out of Canyon- it's been under construction. You can still go from Canyon to Fishing Bridge and out the East entrance to Cody, though.

Thanks, wasn't planning on driving that stretch of road (Dunraven Pass).
