Well well well, it's been quite a while since I've been here. Out of the blue today I got an email from Cindylu who suggested I stop by and say hello.

Hello.

At one time, some of you old timers knew me as Oldie. I opened my mouth a little too wide a few times and got my foot lodged in rather tightly and so decided I should withdraw. I'm not saying that I'm any less passionate about my politics and social beliefs (if anything, I'm more of an activist/socialist/green person than before), but I think I've learned how to temper myself when needed. Patience, mindfulness, and peace are far more important than they were a few years ago.

In the past few years I graduated college with a useless degree, was employed on and off, took a few classes, was a Boundary Waters (northern Minnesota) wilderness canoe guide, and enrolled in grad school and am now working on a social studies teaching license. In time I will teach and have my summers off to play. Yee haw.

I may lurk here and there and say hello now and then once again. We'll see.

Peace,
EN

Hi Oldie! errrr EN!

Cindy Lu IMed me tonight and said she ran into you. Always fun to find hiking partners from the past. :-)

Glad all is well. I'm even in MN now, in the SE. MN sucks.... and so do gophers of the golden persuasion.... but I'm trying hard to get along here in the land of rodentia. LOL! ;-P

SE Minnesota is ok. Northern Minnesota and the Arrowhead is where it's at though. Duluth is a cool city. The Boundary Waters kicks ass. The Superior Hiking Trail is fun too. No, you've got to get out of SE Minnesota though, Lizs. Although I think James Page and Grain Belt Premium are brewed down there somewhere.

Simer, I go to the U of M. It's my alma mater for better or worse. I worked at Camp Vermilion for three years which is near Cook and have essentially seen all of the B-dub between Crane lake and Western Basswood (Fall Lake entry). I miss it terribly.
