Ahh, so I've been talking to waterdog and didn't know it. Thanks for the map, btw.

Kewl Beans
the Estill Fork property may allow the state to build a second, western entrance into the preserve.

Yah that would be really good news, since the first thing you have to do from the Eastern entrance is 1000ft elevation change. This also means the last thing you have to do is, tada, 1000ft elevation change. Yuck.

The only bad part is you might have to drive through Estill Fork, where the rednecks dont even slow down when they shoot deer in your front yard from their trucks.

They don_t slow down? How do they collect the meat?

Their wives follow behind them and do that, as it is "wimmens work"!

Gonna Walk the Wall
Figured it's about time Sarabelle, Gizmeaux, and I do some hiking here in North Aladambama. Not much around here save Sipsey, and it's not really all that around here. Besides, we've done it a few times. So it's off the Jericho, don'cha know. It's only about three miles in to good campage, water, etc. So I hear. We'll find out mid-to-late week. I hear it's pretty gnarly in some spots. I'll prolly get in an extra mile or so roundtrip by having to drop my pack,to help Sarabelle's crippled ass through the strenuites, then go back and fetch my pack. She better not be too much a nuisence lest I leave her wedged-up somewhere.

Very awesome place! We went a few years ago and camped for a couple of days.

It's supposed to cool off big time starting around Wednesday. Keep poor ole Sarabelle nice and warm!

30's at night. Perfect. It'll prolly be the weekend before we get away. I'm thinking it'll be a tad warmer by then. Heck, it was 86 here today. That would work. Ain't choosy.
