I Got the Job!!!

“This morning I went downtown (Chicago) for an interview with a firm that I have been interested in working for. The meeting went very well. I was offered the job on the spot and asked how soon could I start. The pay is way better than what I can earn in Indiana. Yee haw!!!! I think I’ll start in a week. I made sure they knew that I would be taking a week off in September for Moose-a-palooza. After all, a girl’s got to have her priorities straight.

Lesson learned: I must adopt the incredibly fashionable sneakers-and-suit look. I killed my feet walking in heels that far.”

“Luckily I don't have to negotiate vacations. I get to take them whenever I want. For real. I just have to notify them ahead of time. And I can take as many days off and vacations as I want and work whatever days I want. I will get paid by the job, so it behooves me to show up regularly.

I'm thinking that I'll work 3 - 4 days a week, maybe work out of my home on days that I don't have to go in to the office.”

“Buying a house is on my list. I'm thinking by next summer.”

Your area of work is expanding and pretty stable, from what I know. I used to be in the line of work of "visual legal evidence" here in the Detroit area for about 2.5 years. I've work with many court reporters in my time and you guy really have yer work cut out for ya. All I had to do was pop a video tape in the machine and hit "record". LOL!”

The interview I went on right before Labor Day in SC went just as well as I thought it had!

They made me an offer!

Now to find a place to live and all that good stuff!
