Keep that teapot under control.” 2:12:06 PM 11/13/06 “...but it's for cookies, HPM!!!” 2:14:06 PM 11/13/06 “Stove, worry not, soon I will begin making Christmas cookies!!!” 4:43:59 PM 11/13/06 “As much as I was in pain, I would have killed stove stomper if he broke out in the little teapot song.” 6:24:57 PM 11/13/06 “Chili is just jealous of my teapot. ;-)” 9:02:44 PM 11/13/06 “I'm a little tea pot, short and stout Here is my handle, here is my spout :)” 10:29:56 PM 11/13/06 “Cookies are on the agenda today. Have to make something to stick in people's mouths when they start to get uptight on the 14.5 hour drive we're embarking on Saturday. I think it'll be oatmeal raisen, Birch's fav. He's the only one who's never made this journey before.” 8:02:06 AM 11/14/06 “Chili....how's the leg doing?” 8:08:22 AM 11/14/06 “*Sigh* If only one of my single TT girlfriends would bake me cookies....... I might even be led into nonsingleness. ;-)” 9:37:07 AM 12/07/06 “DON'T DO IT Stovie - the way to the debbil is paved with cookies” 10:02:47 AM 12/07/06 “HA! you cookie monster, you are insatiable :)” 10:09:58 AM 12/07/06 “I baked 8 dozen cookies for a cookie exchange the other day...two batches of gingerbread stars and trees. Tomorrow night I get to frost them all! The girls are coming over on Sunday and we all get a dozen of each person's variety. I should have a nice mixed cookie platter by the end of the weekend :-)” 7:16:58 PM 12/07/06 “My wife has all the fixin's and is poised to start this weekend. Monster cookies. Home made Payday bars. Homemade Twinkies. Puppy Chow. Nopne of it can stay in the house either. It's all got to GO! That's where my lil buddy Stovie comes in. [vbg]” 7:22:00 PM 12/07/06 “StoveStomper, I'm pretty sure making a batch of cookies yourself would be easier then putting up with happily ever after. I know I have learned to do plenty around the house to avoid having to sacrifice my singleness! ; )” 7:31:56 PM 12/07/06 “Dont fall for that trap stovie!!! thats how my grandmother ensnared my grandfather, thats how my mother ensnared my father and thats how I ensnared Mike!” 7:37:49 PM 12/07/06 “spirit coyote - I thought you were the girl that came from California for a visit and then stayed! Hmmm. I could be caught with or without cookies.” 7:52:34 PM 12/07/06 “I was going to make cookies tomorrow, but low and behold I've got a house showing in the middle of the #&%!$ing day, so my schedule just got shot down. Sorry guys.” 8:00:27 PM 12/07/06 “ha! bonecrusher, when I went back to ca, inbetween that time I went back to mike I sent him cookies!!!! :)” 8:04:15 PM 12/07/06 “treebait, treebait, treebait...... The smell of homemade cookie will SELL the house instantly!” 9:18:05 PM 12/07/06 “Truly. Stovestomper has hit on something. I think that's actually scientifically proven. Gingerbread bears done yesterday, french cookies done last weekend. Today will be white chocolate cranberries and Saturday will be caramel filled chocolate cookies. Toffee's done, peanut brittle, Emeril's spicy nuts and fudge to go! This year the neighbors will get cinnamon rolls for Christmas morning too. I love this time of year. It's even funner since I got a Miguels apron. =) Makes me think of all the good times at the Red every time I put it on.” 7:28:34 AM 12/08/06 “we had a realitor visit our house last year to talk about selling it...she was talking about the things you should do during an open house and one of them was to bake cookies, about 3-4 at a time so the dough lasts all day” 7:34:54 AM 12/08/06 “This year the neighbors will get cinnamon rolls for Christmas morning too. Sassafras 8:28:34 AM 12/08/06 Suddenly I have the urge to move to MI.” 7:51:31 AM 12/08/06 “I turned my ankle at an oblique angle yesterday and it is sore today. Nurse Goodbody ordered me to stay home and said that as long as I am here, I should bake cookies. Oatmeal Raisen to be exact. So, I have to find a recipe and start baking.” 7:58:31 AM 12/08/06 “This is an awesome recipe, chili! I made them a couple weeks ago, and while I usually suck butt at making cookies, these were the best I'd ever done! You could just substitute raisins for the chocolate, if you want to be a baby about it. ;-D http://marthastewart.com/page.jhtml?type=content&id=recipe1254&search=true&resultNo=110” 8:04:01 AM 12/08/06 “When I was in college, my grandmother mailed me some oatmeal butterscotch cookies. They had to be some of the best cookies I ever had, and then my roommates ate them all on me.” 8:07:24 AM 12/08/06 “I think that would be reasonable cause for murder, LZ.” 8:08:35 AM 12/08/06 “Sass, have I told you how much I LUV you, lately? Need my shipping address? ;-)” 8:08:47 AM 12/08/06 “SS, You MAYYYYYYY have a package coming today :)” 8:10:24 AM 12/08/06 “Sorry Stovie, these are going to Nowslimmer and to Iraq. Maybe I'll draw your name next year in the ornament exchange. Besides, you have Treebait and SC to take care of you.” 8:19:37 AM 12/08/06 Birch's favorite cookie in the world... “Oatmeal cookies, for Chili Oven 375° 6 dozen 1C butter, softened 1C sugar 1C packed brown sugar 2 eggs 1 tsp vanilla * 2C flour * 1 1/2 tsp cinnamon * 1 tsp baking soda * 1 tsp salt 3C quick oats 1C chopped pecans 1C raisins Cream butter and sugars, add egg and vanilla. Mix all * ingredients, in a seperate bowl, with a fork, and add to butter mixture. Stir in oats and nuts and raisins. Bake on a greased cookie sheet 12-14 minutes.” 8:25:35 AM 12/08/06 “SS has turned into such a cookie whore.” 8:26:11 AM 12/08/06 “Thank you, sassafras! Geez, now I will start getting emails from StoveStomper soliciting cookies.” 8:35:00 AM 12/08/06 “ ![]() "But I like a cookie..."” 8:37:21 AM 12/08/06 “That's Cookie Ho, chili. ;-)” 9:37:02 AM 12/08/06 “StoveStomper, I'm pretty sure making a batch of cookies yourself would be easier then putting up with happily ever after. I know I have learned to do plenty around the house to avoid having to sacrifice my singleness! ; )” graska 7:31:56 PM 12/07/06 You are correct, but my stove didn't work for about a year after Katrina, so I got out of the habit of using it. It is fixed now. But cookies are so much more special if someone else baked them.” 9:43:43 AM 12/08/06 “Everything tastes better when someone else makes it for me! ; ) We, my kids and I, bake cookies the week before x-mas otherwise my kids eat them all! Any kids StoveStomper?” 1:49:45 PM 12/08/06 “My now ex-wife and myself lost our child before it was born, graska.” 2:51:17 PM 12/08/06 “stovie I didnt know that :( that makes me sad :( did you check your mail?” 2:57:29 PM 12/08/06 “It was a long time ago, SC. It was sad, but it happened. :-( Life goes on. I'll check the mail in about an hour and half when I get home. :-) last edited: 12/08/06 3:02:04 PM” 3:01:08 PM 12/08/06 “Okay, I'm having a pretty frustrating day so I knuckled under and made Laurel and I a fresh batch of toll house cookies. Crisp around the edges, gooey in the middle and the chips are still very soft, to Laurel's delight. She's a bit of a chocolate fiend too. The rest of the dough's in the fridge now. No, not the hiker, the appliance in my kitechen.” 3:59:32 PM 12/08/06 “Somethings you probably never get over, sorry StoveStomper. I do on the other hand have two teenagers I'm willing to rent on a bi-annual basis!!! ; ) Take the boy for two years... he's 16, then when that time is up, you can have the girl; who will then also be 16.” 5:47:42 PM 12/08/06 “Ok, instead of raisens, I used cranberries. They are about out of the oven. I expect to hit a home run with these.” 6:30:18 PM 12/08/06 “SS - make certain they can bake cookies before you accept.” 6:32:30 PM 12/08/06 “craisons in cookies ROck. I made some oatmeal craison white chocolate cookies this year :)” 7:00:12 PM 12/08/06 “Yeah, the craisens were the way to go. I am making another batch today.” 1:23:48 PM 12/09/06 “Just finished frosting 84 Gingerbread cookies. This was a great excercise for curing perfectionist tendencies! They're adorable but not perfect. Now to clean up the kitchen and prepare snacks for the cookie exchange. I think using my new, non-perfecting skills may come in handy in this as well. Christmas decorations make everything sparkle anyway. I love it!” 9:05:08 AM 12/10/06 “What a great time. I now have loads of cookies and the ladies had a great time. Little wine, little dip and crostini, couple of Christmas carols. Wonderful. Sometimes it's nice to go pure girlie things. The guys I know don't do cookie exchanges. :-) Next year we're going to add carolling around the neighborhood. Yeah!” 4:54:24 PM 12/10/06 “sounds like fun :)” 4:54:55 PM 12/10/06 “Yeah, I guess the next party is to be a "sleepover" New Year's eve.” 5:20:31 PM 12/10/06
