In my hometown we had two newspapers in the late 1800s, the "Monroe Democrat" and the "Monroe Republican." The reason is that they were supported by adherents to these two parties. They were, of course, biased.

Today, we clearly have news organizations who support particular political viewpoints. If you listen to Air America, it is biased towards Democrats. If you listen to one of a thousand Christian radio stations, you'll get Republican news. If you watch FoxNews, you'll get Republican news.

Let's see, I have been called a murderer and a baby killer on this board for supporting women's rights to choose. I have been referred to as a welfare state supporter because some brain child has assumed that I support handouts. Oh, I have also been accused of receiving those handouts. That was a good one, considering I work two jobs to support my family. I have also been told that I am "not a good American", that I am "Un-American" and other variations on the theme because I questioned president Bush's authority. I have been told that I personally wish the soldiers harm because I was one of the original people to speak out against the pending invasion of iraq at the time. Do I need to go on? All this happened on this board. Please give credit where it's due. And if you are going to throw blanket statements on those that have a certain ideology, then why don't you be fair about it for once in your life and condemn those that throw this garbage around?”
