Bonas Defeat

“I got asked to go to Bonas Defeat in Oct. with a famous photographer/author. I have always wanted to go there and now I get to go with someone really exciting. Waterfall Rich is s'posed to go along as videographer. Its being filmed! Not sure what will come of this, but I am psyched! I read American Whitewater's description of the gorge and it was described as "Inordinately Dangerous" and considered unrunnable by expert kayakers. I have a hunch this is going to be memorable!”

I've done the Gully River in WV like five or six times. It is DA BOMB!”

“rock hopping. Crawling or swimming down the river. It is too dry to float it. There is a dam upstream. its one of those places you have to phone ahead to make sure they aren't going to have a water release or you will surely die.
Its probably the closest thing to a slot canyon in the east.”

One of our guys, got thrown out on hell hole but he caugght his fot if we wouldnt have he would have died!!

he had 4 people on a 9 person boat and it was hard to lose one man would have killed us!!!”

“I was supposed to have been on that trip with them. Had two whiney kids along so it was not fit to take them. They aren't up to that. Two of the folks along on that trip said it was exciting, but they doubted they'd do it again. The dude who asked me said he's done it 3 times over the years and each time he says " NEVER again!" LMAO
I can relate. I often get myself into things like that and swear off it..... only to boomerang back and I do it again.”

“He's evil. We have a sick relationship. It vascilates wildly back and forth between death threats/ violence/ to being piled up on the couch with him watching tv, or him sitting on my lap asking me if I'll love him forever.

He's still trying to send $$$ to my 4 yr old niece to buy blackmail shots she took of me this Summer. None of the photos show my head thankfully. Can't prove nothing!”
