I'm planning to visit there. Can you provide any information or comments about the Park? Thanks.”

“I went there in the summer a few years ago and was pleased to find an olympic sized pool to cool off in the afternoon after a morning of hiking in the heat and humidity. It has a lodge, cabins, and a campground. Trails that go to some very nice viewpoints and into the "grand canyon of the south".
I don't know the specific dates but there is a fall release of a lake nearby and some excellent whitewater to be had if you time you visit with it.
The beginning of the Pine Mountain trail begins in this park too and I'm sure a shuttle could be arranged if you wanted to do part of it.
