Moving to Loveland, CO!
Well, on November 17 we will officially be residents of Loveland, Colorado!

The last day of my internship with the National Park Service ends on November 5 and the Mrs. last day with the school district is November 12.

Can't wait!!! This has been many years in the making...ever since I first visited Colorado 9 years ago I knew I would love to live there.

So anybody coming to visit??? Anybody want to backpack in Colorado....I think there is a couple of trails there.

oh man...you are sooooo lucky. The Loveland area is beautiful. I spent some time out there last summer with the family...didn't have the oppertunity to hike around that much tho. Consider me jealous.
by the way, what grad school are you looking into? I'm going to try to get in to co state once I graduate from this corn field.

congrats on that upcoming change-o-scenery
there is quite a group in Colorado who backpack/hike/snowshoe/ski etc together at the Backpacker Magazine forums http://forums.backpacker.com

I don't see too many of them posting here, but they are aware of this site.

Woodswoman posts here (she might go by another name). Anyway, come over there and we can all meet up with you sometime. We get out quite often. I live in Boulder/Estes Park area. Deborah lives in Thornton area, Woodswoman lives in Windsor area. And there are quite a few more scattered in the metropolitan denver area or throughout the state.

Snow season in the southern Rockies is looking very favorable. Don't put snowshoes and skis far away when you pack. If fact, take them in your vehicle!

You wanna ride in the back of the truck?

Yeah...I'm already thinking about what trails I wanna hit the first weekend we are out there! Screw unpacking...it will wait.

There's one trail I want to snowshoe over by Longs Peak.... I already have the maps for that area.

Very Stoked! If I were a Gremlin I might even have to say I was horney?

I'm looking at the same area as you are!

I'll be there around the middle of next week - neener, neener, neener!

:P

Longs Peak, Glacier Gorge - the options are endless.

Yeah.. Once when we were driving down the Peak to Peak Highway we saw a whole bunch of people going out from the trailhead and wished we were going with them!

Zac... If I build a trip you better fly your butt out!!! Maybe we can have a bakesale to buy your tickets? Or you could just sell some of those mushrooms you couldn't stop eating...
Adventurist

Maybe a bake sale with brownies that contain those mushrooms.
lol

... or maybe I could hitch hike to CO.
