I wasn't paying attention. earlier this morning they refered to it still as a tropical storm, and they said hurricane.” 2:27:28 PM 9/17/04 “Most of my wife's family lives in Puerto Rico. Thankfully Jeanne didn't do too much damage there. Hopefully the mainland will be as lucky.” 2:30:42 PM 9/17/04 “Tree and HPM - watch out!” 2:36:07 PM 9/17/04 “ROFL ther is a hurrican e jeanne i wonder if it will be as big of a b1tch as my boss's wife” 2:54:31 PM 9/17/04 “I posted too soon. My wife just got off the phone with her sister. Electricity is out throughout the island. They have no municipal water. They got something like 14" of rain and my niece’s riverside town was evacuated.” 10:16:20 PM 9/17/04 “Hurricania!!” 10:56:04 PM 9/17/04 “I was watching the weather channel earlier and they described the atmospheric conditions that lead to Ivan. It would appear that Ivan will reduce the massive size of the offshore High pressure system and that would put GA, NC and SC in line for a direct hit. Of course they concluded by saying the prediction business is not an exact science.” 11:01:16 PM 9/17/04 “Jeanne may turn out to be a sorta non issue for us. But, they can't tell what she's gonna do with Ivan hanging around like he is.” 11:14:36 PM 9/17/04 “But, our schools in St Lucie County won't reopen until the 27th! thats 26 days (well including weekends) of school closure because of Hurricane Frances! Went a week without power, so no a/c which allowed mold to grow. Now they're trying to remove the mold so people don't get sick. Hell, I might be moved before the stupid schools reopen.” 11:16:40 PM 9/17/04 “#&%!$. That #&%!$er's headed back towards us!” 4:41:01 PM 9/22/04 4:45:17 PM 9/22/04 4:47:37 PM 9/22/04 “yes, the dregs of Ivan passed over the Treasure Coast Monday and Tuesday. Yards are flooded again - people sure found their roof leaks from Frances and the St Lucie River is out of her banks in several places. the mes continues.” 4:50:46 PM 9/22/04 “He missed New Orleans the first time, and he's coming back around for another pass!” 4:51:42 PM 9/22/04 “He is supposed to hit Houston tomorrow or Friday. They say we are going to get a lot of rain out of it.” 5:02:43 PM 9/22/04 “Looks like Orlando's in the crosshairs again for 3 separate tracking models. At least at the moment. www.wunderground.com/tropical” 8:06:07 PM 9/22/04 “holy crap - those three models show it coming reeeeeaaaaalllllly close to St Lucie county on its way to Orlando. i really hope they're wrong.” 8:35:14 PM 9/22/04 “Just think: What if those three models were separate hurricanes about two days apart.” 8:47:02 PM 9/22/04 “i know - the way they are stacked up in the Atlantic, we're lucky thats not the case.” 9:48:29 PM 9/22/04 “Damn! I hadn't realized that link works to get you the latest picture, so it should work for several days. That makes my comment 8 posts about seem like I want it to hit y'all. ;-)” 11:35:47 AM 9/23/04 “Damn! I hadn't realized that link works to get you the latest picture, so it should work for several days. That makes my comment 8 posts above seem like I want it to hit y'all. ;-)” 11:35:59 AM 9/23/04 “so far i dont think it has been as ig of a b1tch as my bosses wife” 11:37:41 AM 9/23/04 “They just announced on the local news that noaa was adjusting the track a little further west soon. I haven't seen the revised map yet but the multiple computer tracks at wunderground show the shift.” 11:47:06 AM 9/23/04 “Oh woe is me. I wish I was moving a week sooner!” 12:02:16 PM 9/23/04 “ ”1:37:08 PM 9/23/04 “That hurricane symbol at the landfall point is where I live.” 1:37:46 PM 9/23/04 “Okay, so my visitor is supposed to fly from Miami Friday night, and scheduled to fly back to Miami Sunday morning, with an arrival time of 10:40AM. How long should we wait before we make the decision to cancel? How can we know if the airports will close?” 1:50:19 PM 9/23/04 “#&%!$. #&%!$. #&%!$!” 3:34:55 PM 9/23/04 “I hear ya treebait! Some of those computer models show it crossing FL and getting back into the Gulf! I am so tried of this crap! At least my windows are still boarded up. ;-)” 3:59:39 PM 9/23/04 “With all the hurricanes so far, which forecast map has been the most accurate? You know, which website? Can one of you post it here? I'm wondering if a flight should be rescheduled or not?” 4:02:11 PM 9/23/04 4:06:12 PM 9/23/04 “wolfie - None of them are any good more than 2 to 3 days away from landfall.” 4:07:40 PM 9/23/04 This totally SUCKS!!! “ ![]() See that dot Sunday 2 PM?? It's over my house!!!” 4:20:28 PM 9/23/04 “Wolfeyes, go to wunderground.com/tropical, scan down the page for the storm of your choise and click on "computer models." It shows the paths predicted by the 5 separate modeling systems used for hurricanes.” 4:27:06 PM 9/23/04 “Yeah tango, its gonna follow the same path that Frances took it appears. Lot of time between now and Sunday though.” 7:23:11 PM 9/23/04 “I just got back day before yesterday and took off half of the window coverings! Damn! Nice name RAWC!” 7:35:48 PM 9/23/04 “The local authorities are doing an excellent job of getting everyone here riled up and in full foaming at the mouth panic mode. The consensus of 4 local news stations is "This will be much worse than Frances was." Frances flat out sucked, I'll admit. I know I actually enjoyed having the power out and improvising, as well as several romantic dinners by candlelight. We've since trimmed out more branches, thinning the overall canopy to allow more air flow, so hopefully that will help as well. The big bonus for us though, as compared to thousands of others, is that we still had water and sewer. Most didn't. That reminds me, I need to pick up more lamp oil, lol.” 7:40:19 PM 9/23/04 Good Luck Everyone! “OUC is making the decision tomorrow if we are on hurricane hours, meaning I will be there the whole weekend and come back Monday to see what happened to my home.” 7:44:54 PM 9/23/04 “Sheesh Tango, that really sucks!” 7:47:13 PM 9/23/04 “Good luck to you all!!!!.......I will be praying and thinking of y'all.....be smart....be safe.....check in with us....and if ya need anything ...let us all know.......I have found TT folks to be sharing and generous.... HUGS......” 4:18:15 AM 9/24/04 “i think i will volunteer to be essential personnel at work for this one because the tree folks have still not come to take out the looming monsters over the house yet. lol at roamaroundwithchainsaw...:) i carry mine in my car these days too!” 4:43:37 AM 9/24/04 “The new updated track is better for us Orlandoans, but I hate to see this one hit anywhere! Good fortune for your home Om!” 6:10:28 AM 9/24/04 “and all I needed was one week. dang my luck.” 6:14:20 AM 9/24/04 “#&%!$ for me. Ugh.” 6:55:56 AM 9/24/04 “I really don't need any disruptions or delays to my work schedule. I'm already about 5 weeks from seeing a check.” 8:52:17 AM 9/24/04 “Just like before. The "Hurricane Experts"(?????) still don't know where this (bad word) is going. The big center at the Univ. of Wisc. has not updated their essay on Jeanne since 11 PM. last night!!!” 9:19:15 AM 9/24/04 I'm so happy I could cry! “Hmmmm! That "H" in the dot showing where Jeanne will be at 8 AM Sunday, is right over my lot where my place was located until 7:59 AM. Sunday. It's demolition time again at Trailer Haven.” 10:51:47 AM 9/24/04 “I hear ya Paul. THis sucks - I was only one week away frmo moving too. I bet if we can't work next week (the last week of my two week notice) that I won't be paid. I really needed that check for next weeks time too. The new job wont pay me till the end of Oct. Maybe she'll turn north sooner than expected and make a sharp turn to miss the whole coast. You gotta hope for something, right?” 10:59:40 AM 9/24/04 “Oh, I'm staying put in FL this time too. Just got back from Wal Mart with batteries and candles, (and a good supply of beer).” 11:00:20 AM 9/24/04
