But that won't happen. If the Dems gain control of one house of congress, they will only act to paralyze the Bush admin. They are too power-hungry and embittered (just look at violin, for example) to work in an adult, bipartisan manner. If the US is gridlocked, countries like NK can act freely. Russia can ignore us. Iran can do stuff, etc. If the Dems must gain power in Congress, I'd rather them take both houses and have some ability with budgetary power to reshape foreign policy. It would be interesting to see them shoot themselves in the foot in time for the '08 elections.”
