I was just wondering about the possibilities.... if there was a 'Toenail Fairy'.

The Rangers could tell stories to the kids at South Rim Village about the children whose boots didn't have a big enough toe box....

They could switch up with the "Who Stole My Hairy Toe" story every now and then, just for the variety's sake.”

“I was thinking of Charlie's Bunion myself.

My toenail is finally almost back to normal looking, although the end is still wavy and there's a few thin spots still growing out. Hope I don't jinx myself by saying I'm glad it's almost over.”

“WooHoo!!! The toenail is gone as of this morning. I finally bit da big one and pulled it off. It feels kind of strange, but it needed to be off before I hike this weekend. Now anyone know how long they take to grow back?”

“Months and months.”

“If you aren't losing toenails, you just aren't really hiking. I'm losing one from my big trip this year. I lose one or two every year. The smaller ones grow back in about 6 months.”

“Great... guess I won't be using my pedicure coupon any time soon...”

“I actually had three damaged/broken t-nails at different times with clumsy dance partners and have been fortunate in the years backpacking to have the right footwear.”
