I was in New Hampshire in 2000 and pretty impressed with McCain. He seemed like the straightest talker running for the nomination of either party, with the exception of Alan Keyes. It's dissappointing to see him shoveling the BS this way.

It would partly excuse him is there really is a reasonable and sane plan to transition to something stable in Iraq and they are looking for some bravado and bluster to provide time and cover.

"...The latest massacre of Iraqi children came as 21 Shia market workers were ambushed, bound and shot dead north of the capital.

The victims came from the Baghdad market visited the previous day by John McCain, the US presidential candidate, who said that an American security plan in the capital was starting to show signs of progress..."

i used to be of the mind that a vote for a 3rd party guy is a wasted vote. Now I feel that as long as neither the dems or the repubs get my vote it hasn't been wasted.

Rudy is the only one of the bunch so far that I would even think of voting for.

i don't feel comfortable with him because he's pro-abortion.

The only real problem I have with him is he's not big on gun rights. Weird, huh? Defends one constitutional right while ignoring another.

like most politicians, holding the view that gets the vote. that gun rights thing may sink him as far as your average republican goes. "pry it from my cold dead hands"
