Sorry I missed that! I sold mine. I liked the stove a lot and it worked well. I liked it best for solo hikes and hikes where time isn’t a factor. It is slower than regular stoves and there’s a fiddle factor to it (I love the fiddle factor myself!). I never had a problem with black mess getting on anything because I carried it in a gallon sized zip lock and I never had trouble finding fuel or getting it to start. Just a bit of drier lent and hand sanitizer and it took right off every time. I seem to go solo very rarely anymore that the stove wasn’t getting used.”

“Most of my hikes will be solo and I never get in a hurry. Whats the point of doing that. A hike is a mini vacation for me. I just wanted make sure its worth $50 bucks or not. I noticed to that they they make a windscreen/grill for it. That's not really needed is it?”

“I never really saw a need for a windscreen and I think the grill would be too small for grilling anything bigger than a White Castle hamburger. Then there's the mess of the greese.

“Just be sure to clean it up a bit and keep it dry after each hike. While the outer part is aluminum there are some steel parts on it that will corrode a bit if not taken care of. I wish I still had mine to pass along to ya because I sold it for $20.”

“Oman what a deal. So what kind of stove do you take now?”

“I have a MSR Pocket Rocket, an Esbit stove and a Svea 123 that all split the duties. The Pocket Rocket is the most used but the 123 is my favorite.”

“Ok this will be a dumb question but I new to backpacking.So how do you pack in the White gas/coleman fuel for the thing? I haven't come up with a good way yet.”

“There's no such thing as a dumb question. If I had a nickle for every question I ever asked I'd be rich. :)

When it’s white gas you can use a fuel bottle like this and it’s best to add a fuel faucet like this to save from spills. The other types of fuel like the gas canisters are self contained.”
