Also, my legs are carring me faster on the trails, but my indurance has not increased adequately. Because of too much rain this Spring, I only did short, backpacking trips. Then I would be out of the woods waiting for the rain to quit and eating too much in restaurante. The weather finally changed, but I had lost most of my inspiration and returned home 2-3 weeks early. I, also, regressed during three weeks. But I've had several, nice, steam baths. Trying to rid my body of all those mountain bugs. However, I may swim or workout tomorrow, and in the evening I will be back in my aikijutsu class. My discounted senior membership costs me $34 per month. I did not have to pay for most of the time while gone. I left on March 18th. Stopped payments have to be for at least one month and start on the 1st of a month. This can be done twice a year. Upon my return the other day, my June rate was pro-rated as starting on the day of my return. Can't beat these fees. For me use of the steam room alone is worth much more than my dues. And my martial arts instruction is free with my membership. I don't think one can obtain martial arts instruction for #34 per month anywhere.” 3:54:33 PM 6/19/05 “tsk...too late... LOL - I do give them encouragement Ewker, but that is NOT the place to start "somewhere". And considering I'm at the gym a lot longer than they are, I can plainly see that they didn't hit the stair climber or they only gave it about 5-10 minutes, but that's irrelevant. What's relevant is they are doing more harm than good by doing those ab machines and it pisses me off that the trainers put them on those machines. Again, good job on losing weight, but you don't know me, so be careful guessing my intentions and motivations for saying things. This isn't the gym, so I wasn't talking about anybody here, including you, so don't take it personally. I beg to disagree completely with your 2nd paragraph. It does matter what they do, and they are doing more harm than good. They are better off staying home than doing those machines when they are fat. They need to establish good habits early. One hiatal hernia early on, and they're done for. If they get on those machines and notice they're getting bigger instead of smaller, they're also done for b/c they'll lost motivation.
