I took a small notebook with me when I went to work out with my trainer last night. I had him write down all the exercises I did, the number of sets and reps and the weight. Now I don't have to try to remember all that wh3en I work out on my own. ALSO, he is always setting the weights for me, taking off whatever weights the guy before me used and setting new ones on for me. I told hin to stop doing that and just tell me what to put on while he is writing it down. I feel like I got two workouts in one. the first was the exercises he told me to do. The second was from moving all the weight plates on and off the equipment to set up for each exercise. In the words of the hardest working man in rock and roll (James Brown for those who cannot guess), "I FEEL GOOD!!!! 'duh duh 'duh duh duh duh 'duh I knew that I would!" I see a lot of people at the gym on a treadmill for 20 minutes thinking they're losing weight. It's good for physical conditioning but not really for weight loss. Tris are strange b/c they can handle heavy weights, but good isolation comes from a lot of the lower weight exercises like dips, kickbacks, and pushdowns.
