We Run IraqView Messageshostage “Did anyone see the aol article about the Italian aide worker who was captured by guerillas? She was let go, but not sure why, maybe the Italian gov't paid a ransom. This @sshole wants to go back, but after the U.S. is out of there. She deserves to have her head hacked off. I wish she would go back right now and get her head hacked off. She thought the guerillas were right. Please, someone, hack off her head! She says we are running the country through who is picked to run the gov't. To all you @ssholes out there that wonder why we went in, maybe this is one reason? Gee, maybe that's a good reason to go in there, duh, for oil and to have a ally in the middle east where we can set up camp to go to war.” 5:54:03 PM 10/01/04 “" She deserves to have her head hacked off" My goodness LH you just keep getting dumber dont you?” 5:58:17 PM 10/01/04 “birch, you liberals just don't get it and never will. It's better to call people stupid names like I really care, and not open your eyes to what's going on around you.” 6:00:55 PM 10/01/04 “Maybe you should consider changing brands of lipstick, the kind that you are presently using is obviously affected your rational thinking, oh yea try a valium!!!” 6:12:15 PM 10/01/04 “Hey Lipstick. Sign up to fight!” 6:15:05 PM 10/01/04 “Yes, and aid worker trying to help the innocent in Iraq. She deserves to have her head cut off????? hmmm, obviously it's the liberals that are losing the plot.” 6:18:56 PM 10/01/04 “Gee, why are peoples' heads getting hacked off? Gosh, Golly, now that's a tough one. Maybe because we're in a place we don't need to be? You neocons will grab at anything to justify this needless loss of life! And not everybody who disagrees with Shrub's War is a liberal. There are a few of us moderates who know the difference between a necessary war and snake oil.” 6:19:39 PM 10/01/04 “roseymonster, I'm going to Italy first to hack off her head, lol. I'm too old and out of shape to fight. I don't even know if I have what it takes. I think I may be a courageous person to risk my life in a "do it now" situation, but overall, this kind of fighting takes real guts.” 6:20:48 PM 10/01/04 “Step right up folks, you get three tries for a dollar. Hit the bad man and win a kewpie doll. Knock out Saddam and win a prize. Step right up. You there sir, ... impress the little lady and win a kewpie doll. Three tries for a dollar.” 6:21:33 PM 10/01/04 “I won't even entertain listening to a poster who uses a phony name, because they are "afraid" to use their real name. I think much more highly of roseymonster and anyone else who speaks their mind and isn't scared to let themselves be known. Gee, maybe you losers think you will be disliked and are "scared" to post your real name. You don't even deserve to talk about this war with real men and women that stand up for this country while you hide behind ridiculous names, which by the way, Matt can see who you are :)” 6:54:14 PM 10/01/04 “Would somebody please flame this thread.” 7:06:03 PM 10/01/04 “FUEGO! and for chrissake lips...” 7:23:46 PM 10/01/04 “PS - this is twigeater.” 7:24:26 PM 10/01/04 “Hi twig. Bunny Boiler? Is that a reference to the movie Fatal Attraction, lol. I don't know if anyone read the article. This gal wanted the Italians to pull out their troops and not support the U.S. troops.” 7:55:35 PM 10/01/04 “My name is David Blalock, people call me David Blalock.” 7:56:55 PM 10/01/04 “Oh, by the way , is lipstick hiker on your birth certificate????” 8:00:04 PM 10/01/04 “FUEGO! And Bush sucks.” 8:01:02 PM 10/01/04 “"To all you @ssholes out there that wonder why we went in, maybe this is one reason? Gee, maybe that's a good reason to go in there, duh, for oil and to have a ally in the middle east where we can set up camp to go to war......" You forgot the common line of purposely destablizing another country to draw the *terrorists* in so that we don't have to fight them here. I wonder how that line will play out if we get hit again? Honestly, we all know why we went in, maybe ya missed that. Some of us, like me, supported this thing when we went in because I believed it was gonna be handled a little better. Not the case. Have you seen our own forcast for the immediate future for Iraq? If not, let me clue you in: At the very best, more of the same. At the worst: Civil war. That ain't no liberal propaganda, unless you concider the CIA to be a liberal faction. Going into for oil? At least yer one of the only honest Repubs on this board that doesn't want to suger coat it by shoveling the same old crap of "We went in there because his was a bad guy". For that, I appauled you fer. PS - Calling birch a liberal? Did I miss something? I thought he was pretty independant, if not a right leaner.” 8:09:15 PM 10/01/04 “As well he makes strange faces in front of 60 million +!!!!” 8:09:21 PM 10/01/04 “"birch, you liberals just don't get it and never will" Holy cow LH, you are too funny!!! Me a liberal...thats too frickin much. I dont even know where to start. How about this, look up some political threads and see which side I argue from, see with whom I disagree and then ask yourselk what party I vote for. It will take you all of about 2 seconds to figure it out. You really ought to think things out before you open your piehole. I am laughing out loud literally as I look at my autographed photos of Bush sr and Reagan. You truly are an idiot.” 8:29:15 PM 10/01/04 “the two Italian women, one of which you refer to as "@sshole" were in Iraq doing good deeds to help the people of Iraq. The so called "terrorists" are targeting soft targets so that they can get the attention of people with soft hearts. Weather you think Iraq was a needed extension of the larger war on terror or not, it is still a war. People die in a war zone. Over 1000 dead Americans in Iraq. Many more Iraqi casualties. People die in a war zone. Maybe the Italian government didn't pay a ransom. Perhaps some of us should go to Iraq and pick up where the Simona's left off. Wishing anyone to have thier heads cut off makes this calloused heart cringe. My opinion of the war and the tactics used may or may not differ from yours. Perhaps I should have my head cut off as well? I am ashamed of you lipstick. A valium may have helped you work through some of the nonsense you typed. HAPPY HALLOWEEN” 8:59:12 PM 10/01/04 “Birch beat me to it. I was gonna say, "Birch? A liberal?"” 9:07:40 PM 10/01/04 “Birch, what's the point of name calling? It just shows your childishness and inability to express yourself, so you resort to name calling. It's the same as little children that hit or bite, because they can't find another way to express themselves. So you are a republican that acts as a liberal. Don't you think the Italians should stay in Iraq to support the U.S. troops? That is why I think they should lob her head off, and because she was on the side of the guerillas who KIDNAPPED her!!!! Hello, but that is a federal offense in the U.S. Okay, now that I've gotten past that. Does anyone else want to change their name to express themselves, LMAO!!!!! My husband and I are sitting here laughing our @sses off talking about this Italian aide worker. We picture her coming back and walking the streets of Iraq, and the guerillas that made her a hostage look at each other and say, "didn't we just kidnap her, what the Fvck?????" I am not against her doing humanitarian work, but I am against her not wanting Italy to support our troops. Also, being she is siding with the guerillas, is she giving aide to them also? Does anyone have a dull blade around?” 9:11:31 PM 10/01/04 “I can't believe I got to get back on to say I made a mistake before everyone started jumping all over me. Kidnapping is a Federal offense if you are taken over a state border.” 9:28:01 PM 10/01/04 “Um LH, you were the first one to call names "birch, you liberals just don't get it and never will" The intent of the word "liberal" was derogatory. How about looking in a mirror. Regrding the italians in Iraq, i would love to see more support for the war in Iraq. I have a friend of 19 years serving their, my best friend was killed the just shy of one year ago, a close friends son jsut returned safely and another friend of mine ( i remember the day she was born) is shipping out in 6 wks. I am a former US Army Ranger. Please dont insult me by suggesting I am somehow not supporting our troops. My calling you an idiot was based on your comment that you want someone to die. That is an idiotic comment, if you dont like being called an idiot, dont act like one!” 9:30:07 PM 10/01/04 “Also, her saying that she doesn't support her fellow Italians in the war is the same as Americans not supporting our troops there. To those that don't understand, that's not a good thing.” 9:32:18 PM 10/01/04 “Birch, I was unaware that you were an army ranger. My father was an army ranger in WWII...” 9:35:34 PM 10/01/04 “Birch, okay, you are support our troops. Then I misunderstood your position. I accept your view on not wanting to see this humanitarian dead for not supporting her countries troops, and for siding with her kidnappers. There were people here in WA that after the Green River Killer raped and mutilated and dumped their relative, they did not want to see the man get the death penalty. Everyone has their own view. I am just disagreeing with this woman's view of siding with the guerillas, and think if she is that dumb, and lucky she wasn't killed, I wouldn't have care if she was killed. She can be carefree about being kidnapped because she wasn't killed. If she was killed and could talk from the grave, would she still be happy with the guerillas?” 9:40:06 PM 10/01/04 “US Federal Law regarding kidnapping dont apply in Iraq. The law of the gun applies. She has the right to say that Italy ought not be involved just as you have the right to want her beheaded. I dont agree with either of you. A disagreement about a war's validilty isnt grounds for a beheading. We live in America were dissent isnt grounds for death. How about this...you are so adamant that she should be killed. Why dont I fly her here so you can kill her yourself. I think that this could be a reasonable solution. Treebeard, What ranger battalion did your father serve with? I was with the 2nd Battalion 75th Regiment. Next time you see your dad etell him thanks. Rangers of that era are my heros, men of extreme courage and commitment. SUA SPONTE! RLTW!” 10:02:17 PM 10/01/04 “I have call interrupt on my computer, so I had to leave abruptly. Birch, I'm sincerely sorry to hear that you lost a friend in the war.” 10:04:36 PM 10/01/04 “LH, thanks.” 10:05:27 PM 10/01/04 “Okay, we agree to disagree. Going over to Italy to kill her, well I would enjoy seeing Rome, Venice, and Tuscany, but I'll leave her penalty for siding with the guerillas and not supporting her troops to the way the Italians treat her when she returns.” 10:10:17 PM 10/01/04 “Thank you for the nice sentiment. Dad's been gone since 1988, unfortunately. But, I am going to look up the documents I have as I would really like to relay that info to you. I think I know where to look for that. Give me a little time though. He was a good man, Birch. He really loved his country.” 10:10:25 PM 10/01/04 “Geeeeezzz Us. I really can't believe what I'm hearing from the left coast, but then again, some of us have had our *freak outs* about this war and have expressed it here. This is the first time I've seen it like this, though.” 11:02:35 PM 10/01/04 “I was in Italy in February 2002. Many peace marches in the squares. I saw many rainbow "PACE" (peace) flags hanging out windows in every town. The majority of Italian people are against the war. The Italian president has stuck his neck out to support the US effort. The Simona's countrymen will not spit on them.” 11:05:55 PM 10/01/04 “Has there been a thread created under a more dense understanding/interpretation of current and world politics than this one? Whoops, did I say that or just think it?” 11:06:04 PM 10/01/04 “Just got off the phone with my Estonian brother-in-law. He had a great conversation with a couple of friends in the UK who informed hime that Tony Blair is toast, he ain't gettin re-elected. How about them raod apples?” 11:11:31 PM 10/01/04 “and if I may take this international arguement a bit further... The government of the Republic of Ireland illegally allowed US transport planes to land at Shannon International Airport during the airlift of troops and supplies to Iraq. In protest, a woman climbed a fence and ran across a field to attack the planes landing gear with an ax doing many euros worth of damage. A jury of her peers found her guilty? << 11:27:29 PM 10/01/04 “Sorry... That should read >>> A jury of her peers found her NOT guilty!” 11:36:24 PM 10/01/04 “Tony Blair went against his Labour Party to support Bush's war in Iraq. Odd it is that other parties in Englands House of Commons actually supported Blair and the war. Earlier this week, Blair appologized for the poor inteligence that he based his decission to go to war on. He (and who wouldn't) didn't appologize for taking Saddam out. We are all safer for it.” 11:38:20 PM 10/01/04 “Well, I was much more juiced to debate on with the Guilty verdict.” 11:38:45 PM 10/01/04 “laqtis, I met an Estonian woman in an Asian food market. She was buying tofu. We got into a discussion about how her mom lived a long life eating foods without presevatives and food colorings and stuff, and she ate yogurt. I don't know if that's the Estonian way or just that one woman's way of eating.” 12:33:56 AM 10/02/04 “I completely agree with Birch. LH has posted a series of poorly thought-out idiotic comments. I'm Phaedrus and I approve this message.” 2:09:15 AM 10/02/04 “Let the girl go back...maybe she'll be captured by another group. Maybe she won't be so lucky this time...make her wear a burka, beat her with sticks (hey, that's how we treat our women here!!)....and when the Italien govt' won't cough up the dough...It's chop chop time. She'll be infamous...being the first female decapitated and shown on the net. woohoo.” 2:23:57 AM 10/02/04 “"laqtis, I met an Estonian woman in an Asian food market. She was buying tofu. We got into a discussion about how her mom lived a long life eating foods without presevatives and food colorings and stuff, and she ate yogurt....." I don't know about if it's a Estonian thing; if ya met my brother in law, you might think he was eating aloooooooot of yogurt! LOL! I think I recall an old Danon yorgurt comercial back when I was growing up, where they had some *Russian* dood walking around somewhere around 100+ years old, claiming all he ate was mainly yogurt. He, our food is so laiden with crap, I'm amazed that we live so long. I think the reason why people look so good well into there old age years is cuz of the preseveratives in the food. Hell, who needs to be embaulmed when they die? LOL!” 7:43:40 AM 10/02/04 “Let's look at the progression of U.S. goals in Iraq. First, we invaded because Saddam was a part of the 9/11 attacks and he was about to use weapons of mass destruction against us. We wanted to defend ourselves. Then, we invaded for the sake of the Iraqi people. We didn't want Saddam to kill anyone else. We wanted to start a democracy. We wanted to defend the Iraqi people. Now, according to Lipstick Hiker, we invaded because we wanted a new military base from which to invade other countries and protect our supply of oil. We're essentially using our military strength to maintain our power and wealth. Personally, I liked it better when we were motivated by ideals and principles. Now, before I suggest that Kerry give Bush his flip-flops back, I'd just like to point out that these Italian aide workers have knowledge that the U.S. government, most of the media and average Americans don't have. They have worked with and talked to average Iraqis on a regular basis. Why is it wrong for Iraqis to want us gone? Isn't that the normal desire for national self-determination?” 9:04:09 AM 10/02/04 “Oh Birch, you flaming lib you! LMAO!! Picking on poor lips, my my. ;-) Lipstick makes just as much sense as any of the left wing wackos here. She can say what she wants to just as they can.” 10:09:05 AM 10/02/04 What's This "WE" Stuff?? “Here's some "Italian" for ya, lipstick.......Pox Vobiscum” 10:47:42 AM 10/02/04 “From the first post of the thread: "To all you @ssholes out there that wonder why we went in, maybe this is one reason?" lipstick hiker 05:54:03 PM 10/01/04 ""Birch, what's the point of name calling? It just shows your childishness and inability to express yourself, so you resort to name calling. It's the same as little children that hit or bite, because they can't find another way to express themselves." lipstick hiker 09:11:31 PM 10/01/04 I've liked Lips every time I talked to her, but gee whiz! Lips you can go off some weird tangents. The second quote sounds a lot more like the LH I remember. And, please, use the Fuego sign for a thread like this in the future.” 1:06:19 PM 10/02/04 “By the way, lets say someone believes the Troops are being put in harms way for a futile, or immoral cause. Imagine you are in Japan in the 30's while they are invading and dominating more of China - claiming that they are helping China and Japan and you don't buy it. Or imagine you are a Japanese citizen during WWII. In these cases, hypothetical - or historical would you be supporting the troops by letting them fight, kill, die and be injured for a war that is wrong? Or would you be supporting them more, by saying the troops should not be sent to war unless the cause is just and sane, and success is possible.” 1:10:35 PM 10/02/04
