This was posted in error using the name Frances in the title. So I have reposted it.

Hurricane Jeanne hits Trailer Haven - PICTURES.

Hurricane Jeanne did much more severe damage in Trailer Haven, Melbourne, Florida, than Hurricane Frances did. Travel trailers did well, but manufactured homes and additions like roofs, carports and Florida Rooms were hit hard. I counted at least 12 units completely destroyed. But, since I cannot see the roofs from the street, the total is probably two to three dozen or more units.

My damage was mostly to screens, an A/C, carpet soaking in the Florida Room and about a one inch diameter hole in the pack of the trailer. I stayed nearby with friends and my car was damaged. The windshield is cracked and part of the top is scratched and chipped with rust now forming. I knew better and I should have fled from Jeanne.

Hey Coop how are you doing? My parents have their huge magnolia tree still, but each day it leans another degree southward.

Paul, I'm just amazed at how you've weathered all of this. Pardon the pun. When do you head back to the Smokies?

Gosh, I feel so bad for all the people that were hit by these hurricanes. It was so depressing flying out of Orlando looking down and seeing so many blue tarps. I pray for all of them.

Glad you're alright NS.

tree - doing well - so much stuff had come down with Charley and Frances that Jeanne was only a mild powerloss event for most folks down this way.

In general though - life is good down here in coopville.

Why on earth would anyone live in a trailer home in a hurricane state?

Gives a whole new meaning to "trailer trash".
