Computer Question

“In Outlook:

Tools/E-Mail Accounts.../View or Change existing e-mail accounts

Select the e-mail account and press the Change button.

Have you entered your password correctly under "Logon Information"?

Click on More Settings button, click on Outgoing Server tab

Does your outgoing server require authentication?

Click on Advanced tab

Does your incoming (POP)or outgoing (SMTP) server require authentication? Is it using a different port than 110 for POP and 25 for SMTP?

Also under the advanced Tab under Delivery, you can choose to leave the messages on the server or not. I would make sure the box is unchecked on your primary computer with Outlook and have the box checked on all other computers with Outlook where you check this e-mail account.

If you check your e-mail using a web browser, the mail will usually stay on the server (unless you delete it using the web browser interface) until you connect from a computer where the box is unchecked, meaning delete msgs. on the server once delivered.

When I bought my new notebook, I had ordered Microsoft Office but it was not installed when I received my computer. After calling Fujitsu, they sent me the install CD which I then installed with no problem. I'd like to have the Office software on one of my other computers, but I think the CD was labeled one-computer use. (I can't find it at the moment, so this all might be a moot point) If I load it, will it work? Will anything bad happen?”

“Most likely it's a single-computer product. Check the EULA to be sure. If it's single-computer, and you install it on another computer, the activation won't work.
From the Microsoft site:
"You can run non expiring versions of Office products up to 50 times without activating them. If you cannot activate the product, the programs will start to run in a reduced-functionality mode. In reduced-functionality mode, you cannot save modifications to documents or create a new document and additional functionality may be reduced."”

“i only made this account to thank you RYNO, i accepted an msdos file named crazy frog or something and it caused so much problems on my computor, after a while i phoned dell, and they ran me through this sort of system restore not rebuild though...anyway it stopped the problems but my computors started freezing a lot. i looked around and noticed a file called "crazy" on my c drive. i looked in it and it went onto a website with the crazy frog. i opened it up in note pad and found the author to be 's-k-y-d-e-v-i-l'" i searched it in ask jeeves and found this trail...i read your post AND THANKYOU FOR SENDING THAT SYMNATEC THING!!!
