“Go Biology! I do mostly plant, but also some animal work. In the Mojave and Sonoran Deserts. So, get this, I get paid to go hiking and camping for large portions of the year. Paid! I feel a little uncomfortable with the hero thing, though :)

Pathman organized a really amazing backpack in Pecos Wilderness (NM) a few weeks back. It may have sleeted, hailed and snowed, but everyone on that trip was great. Hope I can get out there for this trip and meet some of you east-coasters. Also, it would be a totally new experience to backpack with other women.”

“photography, painting, sculpture...some jewelry for fun...

These days, mostly oil painting and digital photography. Trying to figure out how to pack oil paints for the trail (I think that's pretty much impossible unless I don't want to carry food & water... LOL)

“I can also confirm that getagrip is indeed female. We met when I was on a business trip in Las Vegas. Crown & Anchor, desert pictures/lecture/reading, and then P.F. Chang's, wasn't it, getagrip? She was even nice enough to pick me up at my hotel even though we had never met before.
