Yeah, but it's the "good fat". Don't ask me what that means though.

..and lots of bags of them are for sale for Halloween candy!
I stock up this time ever year. I'm out of them right now.

How long can you keep halloween candy before it goes bad, Stovie?

throw it in the frezer and it will last a long time. A frozen snickers is great to eat.
Just watch out for those caps!

I know they will keep at least 6 months in the fridge. I did it and they never made me sick. ;-)
Probably much longer in a freezer.
Sugar is it's own preservative. That's why jams and jellies keep so long. With candy bars, lord knows how much man make preservative is in them.

You guys are so freakin smart.

Sam's Warehouse sells a jug of Almonds for a good price. I pick one up ever now and then. I also buy my Halloween candy there.
I have lots and lots of kids around my house and I enjoy giving out the candy. What's left over is MINE!!! ALL MINE!!! LOL

I get bulk almonds from the international market here in town for cheap.

You've mentioned that before. Do we need a TT cashew intervention, Bit?
Hello, my name is Bitpusher, *sniffles*, and I'm addicted to cashews *bawls*.

I usually pick up a bag of Trail Mix from Costco-- They are really good! :-) Also they have great "mixed nuts" (all of the good stuff- no peanuts)...

I like to mix the Costco Trail Mix with their dried berry mix... :-) Yummy!

Nuts are good for you
Costco sells gigantic bags of dry roasted and salted almonds in the shell. You'd think they'd be hard to open but they're easier than pistacios and taste awesome!

damnit, this is Sassafras

i think I bought dry roasted peanuts for the first time the other day. didnt' know they taste so different, so good. (not a big peanut fan).

I love almonds, those are my favorites. like 'em smoked and sweet, or else. I like em all.

i know they are not really nuts, but I love chestnuts. forgot to cut them once and had a huge explosion in my oven. lol

Chestnuts-- poke 'em with a fork or cut a slit in them with a knife so that they don't explode....

but i LOVE those cinnamon roasted almonds hot from the roasting pan (you can't help but buy them when you smell them!)
