Question on east Sierra aspen colors

“I'm hoping to get to the Bishop area this weekend for some fall aspen photography. Has anyone been there in the last few days? How's the color? Is it past peak? Has Bush cut down all the trees yet? If I'm too late this year for Bishop/Rock/McGee Creeks I'll just hit Carson Pass and maybe stuff around Tahoe. Any super current reports would be appreciated. Gracias mi amigos. “I just drove from Sacramento to Bishop on Monday. Lots of Yellows from the aspens all through Hope Valley and Monitor. Some good color around Mono and such. As you may already know... not much red. Some of the trees have suffered wind damage so you better get there soon.”
