I'm hoping to get to the Bishop area this weekend for some fall aspen photography. Has anyone been there in the last few days? How's the color? Is it past peak? Has Bush cut down all the trees yet? If I'm too late this year for Bishop/Rock/McGee Creeks I'll just hit Carson Pass and maybe stuff around Tahoe. Any super current reports would be appreciated. Gracias mi amigos. And amigas. - El Taco Bucko

This report is 11 days old, but you can probably guess where things are based on the info there....

Thanks Ghoulder. Below is a link I follow closely on the fall colors, but the last entry was 10/10... I'm hoping for reports from the last couple of days... I'm so demanding. I think I'll call down to a photo store in Bishop, or even Galen's gallery.

This is the site I follow closely

Monitor Pass to Bishop
I just drove from Sacramento to Bishop on Monday. Lots of Yellows from the aspens all through Hope Valley and Monitor. Some good color around Mono and such. As you may already know... not much red. Some of the trees have suffered wind damage so you better get there soon.

Bucky, I follow Calphoto's Fall reports also. I also follow the Plumas County Fall webpage. This weekend I'll be heading up to the Quincy area and overnighting in the Chester area, I think.
