I know many here aren't religious nor do they care for Bush's faith, but it touches me deeply to know we have a President who truly cares about these things. I disagree with some of Bush's policies, but I support him for who he is, his sincerity and his caring faith. This is kind of long, but if you're interested you should read at least the second half of it. It really is moving, if you are moved by such things. I sure am.” 12:17:22 PM 10/14/04 “Bush is a shallow malevolent puke” 12:19:02 PM 10/14/04 “Don't sugarcoat it MarkO. Tell us how you really feel.” 12:21:11 PM 10/14/04 “"What I like most about President Bush..." Hmmm, I like his proposed policy on Social Security for separate savings accounts. Other than that, NOTHING.” 12:22:51 PM 10/14/04 “When a go-go dancer gives you that fetching smile, do you think she wants to go with you Buck, or just wants your money.” 12:25:33 PM 10/14/04 “MarkO, there is no way you could've read that in 2 minutes. I see how you are. Violin, I feel this President is very very sincere in his faith. If you see it otherwise, that's cool.” 12:28:10 PM 10/14/04 “Yeah, a real christian would start a preemptive war, and could admit no faults. He needs to go home to his prayer group.” 12:29:10 PM 10/14/04 “I like Bush for his response to the Al Qaeda threat. He doesn't overthink the issue. He justs kills them. No sancuaries. So far, three fourths of them are dead or captured. No more Al Qaeda attacks in the United States since 9-11. Can't beat that. And a tax Cut to boot.” 12:29:28 PM 10/14/04 “I feel... I feel... Sick.” 12:30:18 PM 10/14/04 “A real Christian fights for what's good, right, and honorable and doesn't let evil run rampant and unchecked.” 12:30:36 PM 10/14/04 “Evil. You mean muslims in general? Or was there something especially evil about Iraq?” 12:33:37 PM 10/14/04 “Wow.. this is fuego for sure.. but I for one am sick and tired of everyone portraying Bush as the model christian, and Kerry as the ultimate anti-Christ. Catholism, yeah, that's a cult. They burn babies, and do virgin sacrifices. BTW, for the record, I'm southern baptist -- so my stand on Kerry ain't exactly popular with a lot of folks I know.” 12:36:02 PM 10/14/04 “I think Bush is a decent man with a good heart; I do not think he is "evil". Unfortunately, I also find him to be arrogant, conceited, and dismissive of anyone who may think differently then he. I've found Kerry to be thoughtful and more open to those with differing viewpoints. I feel Kerry is genuine and truly wants the best for the U.S. I've tried to keep an open mind and consider Bush, that window of opportunity is closing.” 12:39:14 PM 10/14/04 “That window of opportunity closed for me when he apparently ignored all evidence to the contrary and invaded Iraq despite the fact he had gotten inspections working again that had real teeth. Everyone decides on a different timescale, though.” 12:44:23 PM 10/14/04 “Phaedrus? Let me get this straight... you complain when President Bush is shown shaking hands over and over and over again with Saudi Muslims, the leaders of a strictly Muslim nation... over and over again... like he's real friendly with these Muslims... almost TOO friendly you might suggest... yet NOW you say he thinks Muslims in general are "evil"? Huh? Which will it be... Bush thinks Muslims are evil, or he is "too friendly" with them? Take your pic, take a stance, but I like your dance, are you from France? You're giving inconsistent rants. Armstrong's first name is Lance. I'm wearing pants. Okay, that's enough rhymes for now, how, cow, sow, brow... SHUDDUP BUCK.” 12:46:39 PM 10/14/04 “I heard this morning, that satellite photos have revealed that all of the 'nukleAR' sites in Iraq have mysteriously been dismantled, and moved. The guy on the news was saying that Iraq has apparently found a way to sell all of it to terrorists. And since we are not guarding the weapons factories or borders, who's surprised?? last edited: 10/14/04 12:47:17 PM” 12:46:59 PM 10/14/04 “Buck, I wasn't referring to the president's opinion on muslims. What evil do you see as reigning unchecked before Bush invaded Iraq?” 12:49:58 PM 10/14/04 “Welp, however you feel is fine, but as for Kerry being "Catholic", even the official Catholic Church is saying Catholics cannot vote for Kerry because of his stance on allowing precious yet-to-be-born babies be killed merely because someone doesn't want the child. That's not from me, that's from the Catholic Church. Not that they agree with Bush on everything, but they didn't give this kind of a "you cannot vote for Kerry" creed against Bush.” 12:51:37 PM 10/14/04 “Phaed, I see the evil of Saddam killing people, of Saddam raping people, ruling his country with fear, torturing them, mass graves, and a desire for power for the wrong purposes. Even Clinton thought Saddam was evil. And Saddam continued to be in defiance of the U.N. over and over (I hope we don't hafta to get into THAT one again, ha ha!). If you don't think Saddam was evil, and he was a fine 'non-evil' leader, then that's your opinion. I'm okay with it. My opinion differs. I hope you're okay with it.” 12:55:03 PM 10/14/04 “Argh. A blastocyst is a human as much as an acorn is a mighty oak. Go climb an acorn, Buck.” 12:56:49 PM 10/14/04 “Yeah I heard them talk about that as well. As you know, there is a strong distinction (at least I think so) between being pro-choice, and being pro-abortion. Kerry's stand is that a women's right to an abortion is between her, her family, and her God. I agree. I don't like abortion, I wish it would go away, but making it illegal will only take us back to dark ages once again. I realize it's a controversial subject, but after 'witnessing' a young girl giving herself a coat-hanger abortion when I was a freshman in college (and living in a CHEAP boarding house) I never want abortion to be illegal.” 12:57:09 PM 10/14/04 “And no, I didn't knock her up. (jerks, in case you were thinking it) I was playing in a rock band, going to school, and poor. She just happened to live in the same big house.” 12:59:43 PM 10/14/04 “Nuclear sites in Iraq??? You must mean a different country.” 1:02:04 PM 10/14/04 “but TD, we have been told again and again the Iraq did not have any nukleAR (you spelling not mine) sites. That they were all dismantled under UN supervision. Now here you go resurrecting them again. LOL” 1:02:08 PM 10/14/04 “Phaed, I see the evil of Saddam killing people, of Saddam raping people, ruling his country with fear, torturing them, mass graves, and a desire for power for the wrong purposes. I hope you're okay with it.” Buck 10:55:03 AM 10/14/04 But Qaddafi is a fine upstanding member of the world. North Korea was less of a threat. The Saudis don't torture, rape and kill women. Iraq was the obvious starting place to rid the world of evil. PFFFT.” 1:03:39 PM 10/14/04 “Buck, I read this crap before you dredged it up again, I'm not a speed-reeder. The point of showing the Bushes shaking hands with the Saudis is that they are and have been deeply involved with the Arab oil business. "Who's yer daddy?" That article sugar-coats the Bush administration. They are cold-hearted and calculating money-chasers. I've got nothing against money-chasing.....I suppose money is like other addictive substances......but those people have dragged the American people into a real mess........for money.” 1:08:47 PM 10/14/04 “Here's my take on abortion and politics. A true politician is a reflection of his values, and it shows in his votes. If Kerry truly thought abortion was MURDER (true pro-lifers do) how can you say you'll vote to allow murder because you think murder is a woman's choice, and it's between her, her god, and a doctor? If a politician is pro-choice and they don't think it's murder, that's fine, vote that way. But don't try and say, "Personally I think abortion is legalized murder, but I'll still vote for the legal right of a woman to murder her unborn child, it's her choice". Huh? It's not a true conviction of his. And I like my politicians to vote their convictions, not to just be a piece of meat reflection the will of others. Bush STANDS UP for his personal convictions, LIKE IT OR NOT! That's who he is. Bush said he won't use a litmus test for judges, that he'll choose judges who take a strict Constitutional view on issues. Kerry said HE WILL ONLY select judges that he's sure won't even consider pro-life stances. I'm like... huh? Kerry will use a litmus test, and that's wrong when it comes to judges. Kerry tries to make it look like he's not taking a position on abortion, or taking both sides, by saying he's opposed to it yet he VOTES FOR IT, even the gross procedure of late-term abortions where the babies head is cut off while totally alive and kicking, and then the body is yanked out of the womb. It was BANNED by the senate yet Kerry voted AGAINST the ban. Wow, he's personally against abortion alright. Ya right. Most people don't 'think' about the process of what abortion really is. Following are some very graphic images, don't click if you have a weak stomach for murder. Graphic abortion images More graphic images” 1:12:06 PM 10/14/04 “manuka: Not according to the radio this morning. Granted it was NPR (lol).. but my gosh.. the inspectors had tagged all the equipment, and chemicals.. and were watching it carefully to make sure it didn't move, grow or otherwise change. Now.. they are all gone! And the US, the UN or anyone else we know about did it.” 1:12:49 PM 10/14/04 “Buck...I read that. Putin's an atheist? How the hell does this guy now that? What nonsense! Sounds like a Readers Digest story. This prayer thing.....head on the shoulder....blech!!! Ostentatious crap. All show and talk...no works. I've met these people before. They come to Jesus and proclaim him as savior and then go on living as a scoundrel. Tom DeLay comes to mind. As far as Kerry's Catholicism and the bishops....the church not only is against abortion, but also the war in Iraq, the death penalty, economic policies that hurt the poor, etc. Hmmmm.....that about knocks out all the Catholic Republicans.” 1:14:26 PM 10/14/04 “MarkO, if you think that the President praying spontaneously with a vistor in his office is "crap", well, I just disagree.” 1:14:29 PM 10/14/04 “Buck, you are mentally ill to post abortion images. How about some of the Iraqi children killed by U.S. military action while you're at it?” 1:15:36 PM 10/14/04 “JO, I mentioned that, but the Catholic Church has ONLY said you cannot vote for Kerry as a Catholic and remain true to the church. Although the Church disagrees with Bush on other issues, they did not say Catholics cannot vote for Bush, only that they cannot vote for Kerry. Dat's a fact. But I'm not a Catholic.” 1:16:13 PM 10/14/04 “Buck - like I said it's a sensitive issue. I'd talk with you more about it, but lunch break is over. Y'all have a good day!” 1:16:34 PM 10/14/04 “Buck, do you send money to Pat Robberson too? Psssssst.....prayer is easy to fake.” 1:17:15 PM 10/14/04 1:20:02 PM 10/14/04 “MarkO, I know, you don't like to see what's actually happening in this country. As for the consequences of war, all deaths are tragic, but when the greater good saves many more lives than are lost, it justifies the means. We unfortunately killed a lot of innocent civilians during WWII getting Hitler out of office... but he was killing many more himself, with more deaths to come. Freedom and elections are the best solution to raising healthy babies in a safe environment.” 1:20:19 PM 10/14/04 “Here's what Bush's faith is preventing for future generations of Iraqis. What Bush is preventing: Saddam's evil ways There is a trailer to view (I don't know how to link directly to the trailer or I would!), so you'll have to click on it yourself.” 1:24:31 PM 10/14/04 “What I like most about President Bush is "one and done!"” 1:26:06 PM 10/14/04 1:26:49 PM 10/14/04 “"“A real Christian fights for what's good, right, and honorable and doesn't let evil run rampant and unchecked.”......" Wholly crap! One of the biggest Bible thumpers on this board is claiming this is a religious war? I can't wait for the spin on THIS one.....” 1:29:16 PM 10/14/04 “I’ll never understand war-mongering Christians who worship a man and display their faith in public so that they may be seen by men.” 1:29:54 PM 10/14/04 “"“MarkO, if you think that the President praying spontaneously with a vistor in his office is "crap", well, I just disagree.”....." You can disagree with MarkO's point about holding Church in the Oval Office, but I'd have to point out that even if the required 3 wasn't there, this action still shows disrespect to the Republic.” 1:31:20 PM 10/14/04 “Religious war? Fighting against terrorism and dictators who suppress, kill, and rape their people and lead by intimidation and fear makes it a religious war? Congress from both sides of the aisle voted overwhelmingly for the a religous war? Hardly. It's good, right, and honorable to fight these kinds of guys. I guess Milosevic should still be in power? I guess Clinton bowed to Jesus to rid Milosevic, otherwise this bad dude would still be in power.” 1:33:57 PM 10/14/04 “BAN PRAYER IN THE OVAL OFFICE!!! Bring on the cigars and the interns!” 1:35:11 PM 10/14/04 “"Fighting against terrorism and dictators who suppress, kill, and rape their people and lead by intimidation and fear makes it a religious war?......" The minute you, and in this case this does mean you, out the word "Christian" in that sentence, you made a claim it was religious. Don't get pissed at me for something you said.” 1:37:34 PM 10/14/04 “"“BAN PRAYER IN THE OVAL OFFICE!!! Bring on the cigars and the interns!..." And that also was a time when the Oval Office disrespected, so I have no idea where you're going with that. Gettin` back on topic, it's very clear that you wouldn't want to have a President that would respect the office, but disrespect it further.” 1:40:27 PM 10/14/04 “laqtis, non-sense, you don't have to be Christian to know what's good, right, and honorable! But if you are one (or claim to be one), you can still fight for what's good, right, and honorable. Perhaps even more so. By the way, I'm never "pissed" at anything you say... I like you and respect your views, no worries.” 1:41:13 PM 10/14/04 “MarkO, I don't give money to Pat. Hey, how much do you give to Jesse Jackson? ha ha!” 1:42:28 PM 10/14/04 “I don't recall saying anything about "holding Church in the Oval Office". Thanks for the links to Saddam's evil ways, Bucky. None of that squares with Dubya's stated reasons for starting war on Iraq. Those reasons were that the U.S. was under direct threat from Saddam.......a stinkin' lie. The worship of Dubya is cultish.” 1:44:04 PM 10/14/04 “...non-sense, you don't have to be Christian to know what's good, right, and honorable! You got that right!” 1:44:21 PM 10/14/04
