red-eye?
I gave my camera to my wife to take pic's at a wedding yesterday, the red-eye got accidentally turned of so now we have a ton of pic's that I need to figure out how to fix!

I know there's some photo-editing software around for this... what are your suggestions for best / easiest way to fix this?

Thanks a bunch - I stand to gain if I can fix these!

This link might be helpful:

I have seen software that says it will do it automatically, but I haven't tested it.

In the cases where I wanted to fix a photo, I just zoomed in with Photoshop and changed the red pixels to a darker color using the paintbrush. I made sure to leave any major highlights, but usually that is not a big issue.

Wanderer, yeah, there a quite a number of software fixes for redeye. I've only had to do it once but it worked fine. I used Irfan (free and small software). Just select the pupil or eye area and hit the redeye fix button and it's done.

Photoshop
I use an older version of Photoshop to do any kind of editing I might need to do...the version I have has quite a few ways of fixing red-eye including pasting a new iris (the part of the eye with color) over the redeye....even has different colors of them so everyone in your pic's doesn't have the same color eyes....not sure about the new version of Photoshop...but if you don't want to invest in it without trying it....you can get a free trial download at http://www.jasc.com (is probably missing a few features but probaby has that one.)

Thanks to all. I did a google search, you're right, there are a ton out there. Decided to download 30 day trial version of a product called Photlightning, seems to work great, also has a number of other enhancements. If I buy, it's only something like $39.95. So far, so good!

oops....Paintshop Pro I mean:)
The link above is for Jasc's website. Their product is Paintshop not Photoshop....has about 90% of photoshops capability, but is a lot cheaper.
