Geek Certification

“Some of you here know that I had been studying for a big computer certification test. I took the 6 hour exam on Oct. 9 and found out last Friday that I had passed. I've been studying an awful lot for it these past 3 months. I just have to get my 'endorser' to send in their endorsement that I have 4 years of experience and then I will be 'official'. With the experience requirement, it's not as 'easy' as passing a test.

This was by far the most grueling exam I had ever taken and I'm glad the it's over. I'm looking forward to the fun things in life again.

Once endorsed and approved, I'll be a CISSP. CISSP stands for Certified Information Systems Security Professional or 'certified geek'.

For those of you wondering how this could possibly be a backpacking thread...passing means that I can get back to the trails again.”
