Damn sure glad to be alive

“I was doing some reading on the Acute Penecitis that I had and geeze...I knew I felt like I was dying the first week but I didnt realize how close I came to it.

Most acute pendicitis occurs in middle aged and older folks. Mine was caused by my galstones which blocked the pancreaus ducts and caused the pancreaus to start digesting itself...

there is a 30% mortality rate with the kind I had....

often there is multiple organ failer associated with this...it took the doctors a week and a half to figure out what was going wrong with me.

I don't remeber the first week very much and only the second week do I remember things.

Chances are the damage might not ever be repairable. It makes me more prone to cronic pancreaitis and diabities as well...

Makes me all the more thankfull for being alive and here....

I figured out why i had lost so much weight suddenly...when the pancris aint functioning right the body doesnt absorb fat correctly.”

“You know, when all i wanted was everything to stop hurting and to find peace I would dream of the trail. Seriously. I would dream that I was hiking along part of the PCT or hiking up some mountain. I think that is what got me through some of the worst days.
