Shoes are da bomb!

“I agree pink! di teases me, because when I try on shoes I walk around really fast in them, jump and test them out both on the carpet and the lineoleum floor. But I need to make sure that I can walk in them (I walk fast) and they are comfortable. If they are weird feeling at all, I don't usually get them.

So di emailed me today. I love this, so I'm sharing. She said:

“It's definitely New Shoe Season! Although I have bought five new pairs in the last week and a half, I was tempted this evening by Manolo. Did I mention that I am in love with Manolo? I swoon for Manolo.

After work my gf and I went for sushi and sake in Chicago (say that three times real fast). Then we went to Barneys just to try some shoes on. In doing so, I missed my train, so we went out for another cocktail. She found a fabulous pair that went home with her.

These little numbers grabbed my attention:


It's a good thing they didn't have my size or I would have bought them after all the sake. They were on sale, one-third of what they retail for. Even so, don't even ask what they cost. It's shameful. All the gear I could buy instead. But my feet would be so happy. Damn, what a dilemma.


(However, the Barneys sales girl told me she would be happy to check with the other stores to see if they have my size. She will be calling me tomorrow morning.)
