I still want a pair of cowboy boots...IF they don't all point up. [why would the point up anyway? looks dumb]”

this morning while sitting in the carpool line at kk's school I noticed a woman crossing the street. Reason I noticed her was she was wearing RED cowboy boots...AND THEY POINTED UP. Her entire outfit looked greats but the pointing up boots killed it dead.

Nope. Feet haven't grown at all! Starting to get leg cramps, but I guess I'm drinking enough water to keep from being puffy. :)

I don't think I have worn them since.

I have several (like 6-7) pairs of black leather oxfords. It's my shoe staple. I did buy a pair of black leather oxford timberlands a couple of weeks ago but those were steel toes for work. Timberland makes some of the best steel toe shoes.. Love their Timberland Pro series steel toes and I own 3 pairs of them. Two with Titanium toes :D

I never liked timberland as a brand because they always seem like a preppy frat college kid brand... but they do make nice oxfords and the trail runner was just an impulse buy because I thought they looked neat-o.

I was at some flea market the other day. This big fat old redneck guy in overalls with a cane was sitting there selling his wares. He looked at me and said...

"You know your shoes don't match your purse".

My mom, dad, and one brother all own at least one pair of Steger mukluks. They all use them all winter because their feet stay warm even in -40 deg. Minnesota winter.
Ruby

Ruby, your family...do they order a special kind or do ALL of the steger mukluks keep you that warm?
Gemini

12/05/05

I think they each have different styles. So I think they all keep you that warm. If I remember correctly, part of the principle is that they allow your foot to move which aids circulation which keeps them warm.
Ruby

12/05/05

yes, that's how they work, you buy them wider you also have more room to add a layer. Hard to believe they keep your feet that warm, but I know it's true.

I want them. And hey...they look hot with jeans, and I even could wear them on a hike if I had to...now beat that!! pretty damn good I'd say!

Ruby, I wanna go to cali, I am so freaking cold right now. LOL

I'm not sure if the heel and sole are leather. Whatever it is, it's got a rubber-like coating, so I can walk stealthily around the work hallways and cafeteria. hee hee

I just found out about this great shoe and handbag website. It's www.6pm.com

When you pick a pair of shoes, it will also give you six options of a coordinating bag and vice versa.

My boots are from Nine West.

6pm is actually Shoedini.com. They recently changed their name and added the matching bag thingy. They are related to ebags.com I tend to compare 6pm and zappos. Sometimes one will have the better deal or free shipping than the other. The have some of the same stuff.

And if you ever order from Shoedini you'll get about 100 e-mails from them a week it seems... just like Ebag. Errr... not that I would know. That's... just... what I hear.

Freak Shoe Accident
So I was wearing my cute BCBG black, squared toed sling back heels. As I was coming up the stairs from heating my tortellini in the cafeteria, my heel got caught underneath the stair. The darn thing ripped from the "sling" strap to the toe! I lost my balance and trying to grab the handrail, my glass dish containing said heated tortellini slammed against the rail and broke. So now I'm wearing tennis shoes and eating a Cup O Noodles my boss gave me. *sigh*

At least I have choc chip cookies!!!
