“The "good" rock acts never lip sync, and their live shows sound nothing like the albums. Thats what makes it so good and fun to go see the shows! Its REAL - live music isn't supposed to sound all polished and overproduced - its raw and its got energy and its musicians having fun doing what they love.

i was always a little skeptical on the whole "studio magic" thing, but now i'm convinced.
my friends who have a band finally made a CD.
they're not bad, but their biggest problem is none of them can sing too great and they know it.
but on the CD they sound pretty dam good. we/they laugh about it everytime we listen to the CD.”

When the wrong music started, she looked over her shoulder and then started doing some weird jigging! I've never seen her perform, but usually, when you are a performe, "the show must go on" is supposed to be key-- dancing around like a complete idiot only further highlighted the mistake and made it worse! (I don't listen to her music at all, if she was faking it and started to dance some moves, rather than like an idiot, I think she could have smoothed it out a little bit!!)

BTW-- I've said many times to Thinkbubelz that despite everything, Milli Vanilli was actually ahead of their time--they gave the audience exactly what it asked for-- the sound, the look, the music..... However, where they erred is that they had nothing to do with anything musically except via the lip syncing! Shame on the audience for putting the show ahead of the music...

Now, it's more about the package-- can you dance, can you look cute, do you dress sexy, etc. vs. do you actually have any talent... They can even dress up the vocals with reverb as long as you are reasonably on key!”

Ashlee Simpson's drummer has taken the blame for her miming disaster on American television show Saturday Night Live last month. Simpson was getting ready to perform "Autobiography" on the live American TV show when her debut tune "Pieces Of Me" was played instead, with Simpson's voice being heard, despite her holding her microphone by her side. Writing on Simpson's personal website, drummer Chris Fox explains they had rehearsed their performance playing "Autobiography" first and "Pieces Of Me" second, but he decided to switch the order at the last minute. He says, "So, even though we had already played 'Pieces' for our first performance (and quite well from what I'm told), when it came time for the second song, I started 'Pieces' (the second song in rehearsal) again without thinking twice. Ashlee should not have blamed her band for what happened. Honestly, she should've blamed me, her drummer. It sucks to say, but it's true."
