Finally got the photos from the Ansel Adams trip up on Webshots. They're kind of dark, but I guess I'll learn We got corn snow in the morning. There were great photo ops, but I didn't want to risk getting the camera wet.

Hello Karen, Wannabp!

All the pictures are beautiful!
Was that a hawk? just beautiful, I love the picture of your campsite, and the last one snow flowers on Carson Pass
Thank you for sharing them...we are getting dumped on right now at Tahoe, just about a foot at our house, and it is the nice light fluffy snow this time, last storm was very wet and heavy...looks like I will be shoveling today :)
Take care

There are things worse than being dumped on in Tahoe........... I have to drive to Sacramento Thursday for a training, and I keep thinking why not just continue on to Tahoe.

Cool photos, looks like a great trip.

The weather may cooperate for a run into Tahoe after your Sac event.....

You got that all wrong about Eugene. He's in the rebellious phase now and we can't do anything right in his eyes. LOL.

We did have fun. The snow was beautiful. Thanks for the nice words about the photos. I have a long way to go to be where I want, sigh, but at least it's fun.

You are right Karen..there are a lot of things that are worse then being dumped on at Tahoe! It is a good thing...we did get about two feet at our house.
yes, that would be neat to continue on up to Tahoe, and we could have gone on a snowshoe walk. Today I go to Apple Hill by Placerville to get apples, and apple cider, so I will be close to Sacramento. Drive careful today!

Thought this might be a good thread to post this. Apparently, the sun and moon aligned in the same way as when Ansel Adams shot one of his most famous photos and they had a big event at Yosemite:
