really, I have to sort of agree with sacco. This was one of the most painful series I have ever watched. Mostly painful for me were the shows without sawyer. Na...I am only kidding... what I hated where those long, LOOOONNNNNGGGGGG breaks where they showed repeats.

“sacco, I don't think the writers have any answers yet. Who knew this show would take off like it did. Anytime a new show comes out it has less than a 50% chance to make it much less be one of the top rated shows.
I just don't think the writers were ready for a huge success”

“As far as the repeats go I think we have to understand that this was the first season and they didn't know if the show was going to be picked up for the full season. It would have been prohibitively expensive to film an entire season before they knew the show would be picked up (It's not a half-hour sitcom with a studio set) So most likely they've been having to film fast and furious during the season and it was probably just too much to keep up with.

We'll see next season, I'd expect it to be much more of a regular run, as they know they'll be around and can get most of the filming done before the season starts to air.

I guess Ewker and I are on the same page, that scares me!

“i havent been around for the full season, so i havent gotten the full effect of what has impressed some as to be a dragging out effect. i kind of like the slow build and the long set-ups. it really builds the tension. the problem with that approach is, everything now hinges on the payoff. if its a success, its a great show , if not, it sucks ass. 24 is a great example of a show that maintains a high level of tension with several mini-crises averted along the way (and some not averted with bad mojo consequences), therefore theres not the pressure to have a slam-bang finale. a movie that i saw last year, "the village" was an example of a horrible ending destroying all the excellent work that came before it. shymalan just had too much riding on that ending and it killed the movie”
