“Half of my family gave up on Lost and turned to 24 (Peer pressure from sibs and grandparents). I thought the show last night was good - we can't get the answers or else we quite watching the show. I kinda like the twists and turns. We had thuderstorm coverage the hour before and I was getting very worked up that they would preempt Lost for storm coverage - there would ahve been adifferent storm to cover then!”

Still, how do you engineer a plane crash in which certain specific people live?

Maybe there never was a plane crash? But, everyone has very specific memories of being on the plane, and being at the airport to board the plane, and everything leading up to them getting on the plane.

One thing we've never figured out is how come Jack woke up so far away from the beach, when everyone else was right at the crash site?

Yes, I believe the producers, they wouldn't lie about something like that, only to have it turn out that way, and then have people not watch any of their show's in the future. I'm pretty sure the producers aren't out to piss people off.

oh..and again true. I don't remember many producers from series...but I will remember abraham. Only other one I can think of right now is Sloan, but only because he's name is shown on almost every good series.

but if we would...why would they put up a fake oceanic airline site? maybe we the viewers are doing this...we started to see things that wasn't there, now they want to satisfy our needs for a real puzzle. who knows.

If he did, how did they install all of that bunker without the pirates or the French chick knowing. It would seem to me that Jack and Sara met less than 16 years prior to the crash.

I think Desmond was using insulin. I'm pretty sure it said "insulin" on the vial. Also, anyone notice the connection of Sara supposed to be paralyzed and recovers and Locke being paralyzed then healed?

“The hatch had to have been there before the french chick. Momma Cass released "Make Your Own Kind of Music" in 1970, and computers with big reel to reels were 60's technology (that's why I said pre-Bison).

You can't generate much electricity without a lot of fuel unless it's nuclear, and a nuclear plant requires too much maintenance for that application. I think power to the hatch defies physics, like the nuke plant override device on 24 that would have to block gravity over the internet.”

Also, what exactly did Desmond say about being sort of a doctor? I can't remember. Did he say he was "almost a doctor?" Let's say Desomond is what? 35? No older than 40. Late 60's/early 70's he would be an infant. So why is his stuff so darn old? Maybe he is the son of the original scientists and keeps the old stuff around because it's familiar? Otherwise, I would imagine he would have updated equipment, music, etc.”

“There was never any reference to a war in connection with the numbers (I just watched that episode) The two guys who heard them were just stationed at a listening post, presumably in peacetime, and happened to hear the numbers.

So now we have two direct connections to the island.

1. Hurley and the numbers

2. Jack and Desmond

The shoes were definitely the same one's that Kate was wearing.

Also, remembering that we know that they aren't dead... we also have Desmond saying to Jack "I'll see you in another life" and the words on the back of the photo that Sayid carries "If I don't see you in this life I'll see you in the next." Wonder if she's going to show up?

Drug smugglers plane crash, probably within a couple of years, due to the condition of the bodies and the plane and cargo.
Oceanic plane crash, contemporary.

The Others, ??. Pre-French scientists.

It didn't say anything about insulin on the injector bottles, it just had a series of numbers and "RX1" on it.

If you pause at the end of the sequence where Jack is looking at the graffiti you can see that someone has written "I'm Sick"

The shoes are definitely Kate's.

The woman on the boat is certainly older than sixteen, she's blond and looks a lot like Sara, but even when I pause it I can't really tell.

Someone figure out what Walt says to Shannon, I can't really hear it but I'm pretty sure he says something backwards.
