so desmond was wearing a "uniform", same name as all the food items. somehow it reminded me of an astronaut. BUT that could be because the candybar was called apollo. They kept showing that symbol the last time too...but it was really hard to see, lat time they showed it only twice. once in the mirror and one more time. That tells me that there's more to this symbol.

But that actually doesn't seem likely, it seems like he was put down there, maybe he somehow gets a job guarding the island or watching over it somehow and is told he's going to be relieved, but his relief never comes. He's waiting for a specific person obviously because he asked "What did one snowman say to the other" (answer: "See you next winter" surprised Locke didn't know that) So I guess thats the pass phrase.

My roommate just said that she knew the answer to What did one snowman say to the other as "I smell carrots too!" so I guess that could also be the pass phrase.

Did anyone else notice the banyon tree in the background of the scene with Michael saying goodbye to Walt when he was small. The tree was a giveaway that the scene was obviously shot in Waikiki, but I think it was supposed to have taken place in like Indiana.
