what a piece of crap movie. a few scary moments that add up to nothing. the ending was a total disappointment. instead of the heroine figuring out what happened, its all explained away by a lengthy ghostly flashback at the end. big fruckin whoop. avoid this movie at all costs

ill give it this much. at least sarah michelle gellar never screams "what do you want from me?!?", which seems to be a prerequisite of haunted movies

i cursed the movie and my date that went with me..i wanted something good...something along the lines of the ring...but i suppose thats too much to ask...just another example of hollywood jumping on the bandwagon trying to cash in on certain types of movies...supposedly only costed 10 MIL to produce the grudge and its already doubled the expected earnings in one weekend at the box office...ITS #1!!!!!!!!!!!!

In the theatre we went to they were handing out surveys since it was one of the busiest places that it was opening at, people were booing and throwing the surveys during the movie...IT SUCKED...granted when my date and i were watching it we were half stoned, but still a good scary movie only gets better when youre in a state of mind like that...ok thats my rant for the night...its now 10:30 PM ive been asleep since gettin home from work at 6:30 PM ...i need to eat....

I liked it. Especially when I got to make the ghost noises later and piss Angie off.
I really liked it because I found it to be a refreshing change from American horror movies which are all cut from the same cloth.

Is Sarah Michelle Gellar still looking HOT? Last time I saw her in one of those tabloid papers...she losted some weight...she didn't look so good. Those skinny girls have to eat.

Most of the comments I have heard -- is in regards to the ending. Other than that (which of course is a LOT)... most people kinda liked it.

Too bad they could not come up with anything more creative/interesting/plausible.

(I haven't seen it, so I'm guessing.)

I thought it was the Grunge! A movie about Curt Cobain or something...

That'd be a real 'shoot 'em up' movie, ey? Not that I have anything against Curt Gobang mind you...

lol, Nig!

Reminds me of an old "Ben Stein's Money" show. One of the categories was, "Kurt Cobrainless in Seattle"

i am relaxed. since when does giving your reasons for not liking a movie equate to not being relaxed? i was an english major in college. i have an inclination to pick apart books and movies.

I misread the thread title; thought it had something to do with the Drudge report....

Ebert & Roepper gave it two thumbs down, plus I saw the coming attractions on two shows and they both looked like the movie stunk.
