Bellengrath Gardens is a nice way to spend an afternoon.

If you have a chance, got down to Dauphin Island (if there is anything left of it) and see the old Fort and the Marine Sanctuary.

Div - Mobile's Mardi Gras is fun. An engineering org I'm in does a winter meeting there every year during Mardi Gras. Great fun. I got my flier in the mail Monday to sign up for it. I'm there.”

Although the parade in Gulf Shores and Orange Beach on Fat Tuesday is a really laid back event.”

“A few years back our office went to the Mobile and Pensacola Mardi Gras instead of a Christmas party. Pensacola doesn't have the history of Mobile and would let anyone have a float in the parade. Sammy's strip club had a float called the "Krewe of the Mammary's." You could hear that float barking before it got to you.”
