Man: (with southern drawl) Do you know where Unicel is?
Me: No, I'm sorry I don't.
Man: (louder) Unicel...u-n-i-c-e-l...
Me: Nope, don't know where it is...
Man: (louder) UNICEL. It's a cell phone company...
Me: (shaking head) nope...
Man: cell phone...(extends pinky and thumb and makes like putting the phone to his head)
Me: I don't know where it is.
Man: ok, thanks! (drives off)

I'm just on a kick these days of not giving out directions...someone the other day asked me if a street was after the next block...BLOCK! we don't have them things in Maine!

See, we are encouraged to get some exercise on our breaks...then we read editorials in the paper about how State employees do nothing but walk around the complex...and then I get stopped sometimes several times while on these walks, which I must finish in 15 (ok, 20) minutes...to give out tourist information - it's cuttin' in to my exercise time!”

I had a great time last night! I had only intended for my friends to come out celebrating with me, but I got nice cards, a book that has 1000 martini recipes =O and never paid for a thing all night. On top of that, they had Margaritas do their birthday thing. I'll owe them for that one!
