At Outdoor Eyes “http://www.outdooreyes.com/phpBB2/index.php It's in the top left corner...for the rest of the day....tomorrow it will be here... http://www.outdooreyes.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=16014” 2:22:22 PM 10/31/04 “oooh pretty” 2:23:35 PM 10/31/04 “Nice shot WW !!” 4:19:17 PM 10/31/04 “Congrats, WW. Could you see that fireplace from the road? Incredible that it is still there. That looks like an interesting site. I'll go back again. I was messing around with my camera settings and discovered that my exposure compensation was stuck on -2. I e-mailed Canon and got back an e-mail with instructions on how to reset all the settings back to default. Now I'm at '0' again. I never set it before and it was a new-in-the-box camera. Go figure. I hope I don't overexpose everything now since I have gotten used to working at -2. Ha! Lighting is everything.” 9:42:10 AM 11/01/04 “The photo of Matt the Webmaster in Dusy Basin is one of the featured photos of the day at Outdoor Eyes http://www.outdooreyes.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=16726” 12:10:43 PM 11/11/04 “Nice!” 12:11:25 PM 11/11/04 “I would like to be there right now!” 12:12:58 PM 11/11/04 “Congratulations!” 12:32:30 PM 11/11/04 “Thanks! It is amazing how many are being over taken by progress.” 4:37:09 PM 4/07/05 “Right you are Ewker! WE would rather put up a shopping mall the size of Rhode Island than preserve these plots of land where thousands of men bled for their cause. There is a charitable organization that is fighting to keep these lands pure, the APCWS (link below. The buy up the land before developers can. I have been a member for almost 10 years now. http://www.civilwar.org/aboutus/a_apcws.htm” 2:50:18 PM 4/08/05 “I live in Nashville. The battlefield here is all but gone. Aside from a few markers and remains of redoubts all that still stands is a reproduction of Ft Negley. Although they just built all these weird decks that you have to walk around on now, so you can't get anywhere near the actually structure. I was fortunate enough to visit the Fort a fw times before the "refurb" and it was pretty cool. Stones River is mostly apartment complexes and shopping malls now. Franklin too. Shame. Very important battles, yet very poorly recognized. Even at the time. There are very few pictures of the battle of Nashville or Franklin, and none of Stones River. A few artist renderings of the battle, but no photos. Tye northern battles were much better documented.” 9:31:26 PM 4/08/05
