I have five days off of work(PTO) What s hould I do

“well I DID have plans....and they got ruined. :)

I get about 3 weeks off a year (more if I work lots of overtime)...and tecnically only 3 days are PTO fri, sat and sunday...tues and weds are normal days off for me.”

“Smiley, we're a small firm. We don't keep up with it. If I want to take a day off, I do. If I'm sick, I stay home. If I happen to sleep late (I usually arrive by 6), no one says a word. My boss really wanted me to go to a conference at ASCE in Virginia this weekend. I mentioned that I've worked a bunch of weekends and want to take my son hiking and no problem. That, even though I took off from a Friday, to the following Monday (11 days) about a week and a half ago. It's a great system as long as you're small and no one abuses it. Everyone is so appreciative of the system, or lack of a system, that we probably don't take enough time off for fear of abuse.”

He told me of a route I could go "city hiking" around some place called wolf lake just up route 41 north a bit. I might try that out :)”
