Starts today
I just hope when it's all said and done, that we will have a planet left. Say goodbye to the National Forests and ANWAR. Say good bye to clean air and drinking water. Say hello to oil drilling everywhere. Say hello the Christian right running America. Say hello to dirty corporations running America.

When will the first bomb drop? When do we invade Iran? God help us!!!

Good Times Ahead for Sure.
The air has gotten cleaner under Bush. I could take four more years of that.

Logging in the National Forest is less than half historic levels under bush. I could take four more years of that.

Since 9-11, not a single American has been killed by terrorists in the United States. I could take four more years of that.

I got several tax cuts under Bush. I could take four more years of that.

Well time will tell!!! We shall see!! I hope Bush administrates a different presidency than his first dispicable term. I hope that he has realized that going into Iraq was a vast mistake and that imperialism is not a course that America should take. I hope that he comes to terms that Global Warming is very real and is the biggest threat to mankind. I hope that Bush will be the President this country deserves and needs. His four years show no evidence he will be any of those and I fear that he will cause further and more widespread and catastrophic deterioration to this great nation.

Prosecutor, that's because they don't need to come to America to kill Americans. Bush has created an environment where the terrorists can go to Iraq and kill Americans at a much more wholesale rate.

the clean air stats are not from Bush's stuardship of the environement and how dare he claim credit for it. That has been more than thirty years of environemental reform which he has rolled back since taking office. We shall see what kind of Environmental stuard he really is over the next 4 years. cough cough

EarthNsky, we can achieve more positive things if we work together. Customarily, today is the day for all to accept that the voters have spoken, and do their best to work together for the betterment of all.

Americans deserve quality leadership and we are not getting it. Myself and all Americans still have the right to question those elected, even if they were elected by a small margin and want to call that "Americans have spoken" (whatever). I am 100% all about working for the betterment of all and will never stand in the way. That is why I say HILLARY 2008!!!!

i get your drift geo. This country is in a downhill spiral. Its a sad day when its our military torterin people, our government lieing and hiding things, our government attacking other countries to better our own position, our government alienating the world. I used to see governments doing that and they were called communists

Whic would be applicable Wanderer if Bush tried to represent the majority of Americans and their middle of the road rather than veering sharply off to the right as soon as the election is won.

Since Bush took office, over 3,000 Americans have been killed by terrorists on US soil, over 1,000 Americans have been killed in Iraq, over 100,000 Iraqis have been killed, and I sure as hell don't feel as safe as I did when Clinton was in office.

EarthNsky, you had a year to make your arguments known as to why Bush should not be re-elected.

After all the hype the country voted.
The majority did not agree with you and Bush was re-elected.

You obviously do not accept this, which makes a clear statement that you do not support democracy, you do not respect the will of the majority, you are an elitist who believes that your gratification is more important than the choices of others.

Your clearly stated opinion indicates that you prefer a feudal system or a dictatorship where the few decide for the many. Be careful what you wish for, as when your preferred form of government does lose office they frequently lose their lives as well. Examples can be found in the changes of government in Romania (Ceausescu 1989), Central African Republic, Namibia, Liberia, Sierra-leone, and Dominican Republic (Trujillo 61).

And a shot for Treebeard,
your beloved New York City showed clearly that you do not want Bush, so ask yourself - why should GWB spend one penny of federal money on this place that detests him ? Why should he care if anti terror funding is redirected to places that did support him, school funding to poor rural areas, what is the potential downside - you will not vote for him next time

BWAHAHAHAHA you will not vote Republican anyway, there is no downside to ignoring NYC.

You actually DO catch more flies with honey than vinegar.

manuka, do you think that a leader of a "democracy" should exact revenge upon or not serve those who voted against him?

That would be a fascist regime.

Oh wait, that's what we got.
