So does this mean I get to judge all republicans by Ann Coulter's comments about John Walker and physically intimidating liberals?

DEAN UNDER FIRE FROM PARTY DEMS; NEARLY ALL CASH SPENT
Mon Jan 30 2006 10:52:31 ET

Democratic leaders on Capitol Hill are privately bristling over Howard Dean’s management of the Democratic National Committee and have made those sentiments clear after new fundraising numbers showed he has spent nearly all the committee’s cash and has little left to support their efforts to gain seats this cycle, ROLL CALL reports.

Congressional leaders were furious last week when they learned the DNC has just $5.5 million in the bank, compared to the Republican National Committee’s $34 million.

Senate and House Minority Leaders Harry Reid (Nev.) and Nancy Pelosi (Calif.), along with the Senate and House campaign committee chairmen Charles Schumer (N.Y.) and Rahm Emanuel (Ill.), have made their concerns -- directly or indirectly -- known to Dean, claims the paper.

Emanuel was particularly upset last week upon seeing the latest DNC numbers.

“A lot of people are scratching their heads as to what’s going on,” said one senior Democratic aide.

Another Democratic source familiar with the party fundraising apparatus said there is “obvious displeasure” among the leaders.

And what is the difference??
My first vote was for Ronald Reagan. I have supported more or less the best man for the job, but lately I am becoming disheartened by both sides. Here is a frightening thought IMHO the best Senator in the Past ten years from Georgia was Zell Miller....

I have discoverd that no matter who is in charge they are bound to interfere with someone. The best government is the government which interferes the least. I am becoming a libertarian more and more each day. I watched the Blue Blood Republicans (that was the bunch that gave us Nixon, Ford, Dole and, sadly both Bushes) the only difference between them and the Dems is they want government to grow a bit slower...
The Reagan revolution scared the hell out of them. I want to reduce government size and control.

REMEMBER, FREEDOM MADE AMERICA GREAT, NOT THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT>

Sounds like the Dems need to get on their knees and blow the lobbyists, if they want a bank account like the crooks --oops-- I mean Republicans.

Kweisi Mfume's Senate campaign in Maryland is starting to look a lot like a Howard Dean campaign, with key former Dean aides working the Mfume political and fundraising machinery.

This is the darling of the maryland Dems. Has raised only a fraction of what his primary opponents. Whoever wins will have to run against Steel, an ultra popular African American Republican.

Michael Steele is certainly popular with the wealthy elites.

Among African Americans, not so.

Hey Vio, Marko, you want to pool the change in our pockets and see which Republican's soul we can buy? There's bound to be a few congressmen in that price range.
We could make him bark like a dog in Congress - those republicans will do a n y t h i n g for money you know.

Unless the tide of the country turns soon we are well on our way to a one party system. The media, the corporations and the judges are all on the same side now. As weak a leader as Bush is he won the last term. The dems are too stupid to realize that they are contributing to their own demise. If they run Hillary next time, I can only hope it is against John McCain. I doubt the righties will run McCain though. He would probably get 80% of the popular vote against any Democrat. Unfortunately, he just isn't right enough for them. I would support Hillary against almost any Republican besides McCain, but I doubt she has a chance. No red state that went for Bush in the south is going to support Hillary. I doubt any red state would.

Feb. 1 (Bloomberg) -- Democrats, seeking to regain control of the U.S. Congress this November, are narrowing their fund- raising gap with the Republicans.

Democratic Party election committees raised $143 million in 2005, up from $128 million four years earlier, led by a record amount collected by the Senate campaign organization. Republican committees raised $206 million, down from $234 million in 2001, according to reports filed with the Federal Election Commission.

The Democrats also reported $47 million in the bank at the start of 2006, $18 million less than the Republicans. That compares with a $37 million difference at the start of 2002, the last year congressional elections were held when there was no presidential race.
[...]
The Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee, under Senator Charles Schumer of New York, outraised the Republicans, collecting an all-time high of $44 million, with $25 million in the bank, according to figures released by the committee. The National Republican Senatorial Committee said it took in $36 million and had a balance of $11 million.

That may boost the Democrats in their long-shot effort to win the six seats they need to regain their majority.

The Republican National Committee raised $105 million to the Democrats' $56 million in 2005, and had $34 million in the bank at the start of 2006. The Democratic National Committee, in its first year under former Vermont Governor Howard Dean, had $6 million in cash on hand.
[...]
Dean doubled the Democrats' donations from small contributors, those who gave less than $200. The party reported taking in $32 million from small donors, compared with $16 million in 2001. The Republican National Committee raised $55 million in small donations, up from $40 million four years earlier.

The House Republicans' fund-raising arm took in $65 million, compared with $43 million for the House Democrats. The Republicans had $20 million cash on hand to $16 million for the Democrats, according to figures released by both parties.

Maybe that's why you didn't show in court. The subpeona was addressed to your place of work. You most definately have a warrant out for your arrest. i hope that doesn't interfere with your decision to check roadside "liberation gifts" as an Army enlistee. If it does, the charges will be dropped, no problem.

For the illiterate:

The state Democratic chairman, Joe Turnham, said the party became aware of some of Darby's views only days ago and was considering what to do about his candidacy.

"Any type of hatred toward groups of people, especially for political gain, is completely unacceptable in the Alabama Democratic Party," said Turnham.
