too bad...
this is gonna be a sweet lil hike.

I;ll get out there on friday night and meet DOD in the morning on Sat (if he can make it). We'll do the loop and then head home sunday late afternoon. Then its time to get ready for T-giving and the TT company, and preparations for the T-giving weekend bash on the Points! god, I'm so glad I moved to Missouri!!!!

bump...
This is so close to the Arkansas border, that the "redneck" clan should chime up and get the heck out on the trail....bunch of sissy hikers.

I am prolly 4 hrs from there. I'd love to get out. Weekends have been home weekends lately though!

so...
weekends spent at home means that you are no longer backpacking? Got any good gear to sell, since your not gonna use it anymore?

I don't understand that...that, but, I'll post a thread on it and see what answers I get.

10 mile overnighter? Why don't ya just do it as a day hike.

Come on down and us Arkansawyers will show you some real mileage.

It;s not about mileage...
Its about exploring a new area and seeing what there is to see. Its about time outside, and slowing down to watch an ant do its thing.

Paddle Instead?
Since it looks like it is just Dave and you on this trip, why not forget the hiking, load the canoes, and float the Mulberry this weekend? The level will be great for first-timers. I and the other KAYAKERS will be happy to show you guys the lines.
