N. california thanksgiving trip

“Hi, i live in the bay area, and am planning a backpacking trip for thankgiving, and am looking for a place that will have a good chance of being warm ( without rain), not to densely forested, preferabbly with some water around ( lakes, rivers, or the ocean), allowing dogs, and fires...and in that order of preference....also,i\'d probably be able to drive 5 hours max away from the bay area...any suggestions??? thanks for the help :)”

(a) warm,
(b) no rain
(c) not densely forested
(d) around water
(e) Allows dogs
(f) allows fires
(g) 5 hours max drive time

you have to admit you're asking for A LOT! If you're REALLY a backpacker, and you REALLY are that restrictive about where you want to go, you'd probably already know all your options.

Zach, you obviously don't read these boards at all. I've been here since January 01. We just came back yesterday from a trip I started, "Northern CA..." You can read a mini-trip report if you'd like, or, you can hook up with any number of folks here who have hiked with me. For you to now question me is ludicrious, and proves indeed that you are a troll & haven't lurked here & just "lost your login", or you'd know who I am. Not saying you'd like me, agree with me or ever want to hike with me, but you'd know I was here and real.

You, on the other hand, seem to be a poser. Every post you make digs you a deeper hole.

What started as "humor" (refer to above post), turned south when he said "i have posted here before", when it is easily proven he hasn't. If he changed his trailname, so what, why dosen't he just tell us his old name!

He also doesn't lurk here or pay any attention to Northern CA hiking threads or he would know I'm a frequent poster / hiker. Yet he doesn't seem to have ever heard of me, and now attacks me for clicking on his name to find out if I've been wrong??? Doesn't compute, sorry.

He's been deceptive, intentionally or not.

This IS the internet, and we SHOULDN'T believe everything we read, should we???

I'm not suggesting that's what I like, I'm just being a realist.

Why am I the bad guy for checking out someone whose claims don't check out?
