“Anyone been to this area since the hurricanes?
I'm thinking of pulling the ol' travel trailer over there the next few days and 'camping'.
Anyone know the status of the Pensacola bridges that were knocked down?”

“I got an email from the board of tourism a couple of weeks ago. It had some info and links i think that were specific to your question. I'll forward it to you.”

“Destin is in good shape. My secretary has a condo there and everything is fine. P'cola is a different story. You're probably stuck with driving 98 from Pensacola. It's about 2 hours if memory serves.”

“98 is the route I normally go when pulling the camper. Much smoother road than the interstate.
I'm just mainly concerned about getting thru Pensacola.”

“Our church had a group in there 3 weeks ago and said it still looked really bad. I bet 98 coming into P'cola is probably pretty bad, but coming out is probably ok.

PS. There is a bar over near the elks lodge as you enter P'cola called, "Dick's Hat Band." That always cracks me up.”

“I love the place. We take a group of 15-20 friends down to the Destin Area ( usually Seaside or Grayton beach) every May and rent a house on the beach for a week of feasting, drinking, and partying. Since most are bartenders it usually ends up being a 24 hour party. We head into Destin a few times to drink @ AJ's and hit the crab massacre @ ...well I don't remember the name of it. It is the pimpest trip of the year.”
