OuTek ??? did I get scr**ed

“Has anyone heard of or done business with this company out of Nebraska called OuTek? I have been waiting to buy the Black Diamond Lighthouse and found it on sale there and placed the order online Monday night and no word yet form them I have left e-mail messages and phone mesages and no answer. I know it is only Wednesday but I am paranoid I did't expect the tent yet but at least some communication. Please someone tell me they know the company and have done business with them before.”

I ordered once from a company I haven't heard from until the gear arrived. Some do it that way. Not good, but hey... it's their loss.”

“As a former short-term Nebraskan, I'll vouch for them. I ordered a Kelty Lightyear bag from OuTek earlier this year. It was cheaper than I found anywhere else, and I got it in 3 days even though I didn't ask for expedited shipping.

Like Gemini said, call them. While they have a website, I see them more as a phone or face-to-face company than an internet one.”

“I think the huge companies like REI and Campmor have somewhat spoiled us. The smaller companies like this just don't have the human resources to be as quick as the big guys. I know it's hard but be patient. LOL!”

Now the big questions..... I was so excited for the tent do I wait or do buy it at REI for 79 dollars more?
